The average HS DB probably runs a 4.8, so any legit college prospect with real 4.5 speed, as in if they ran ten 40 yard dashes every single one of them would in the 4.5 or better, they should look really fast.
I think this kid should thank Patton for the interest he is getting. Patton showed these coaches there is value for a speedy WR and we don't all have to 6'2".

Do you think we are saving it until we are sure North, Treadwell, etc are definitely not coming here before we offer, or the coaches don't think we have a shot with Clark because he wants to go Ivy League??

Those schools are not Ivy League. I think the staff is still trying to figure out what to do, we only have 4 spots left and are pursing a lot of quality players.

I know they aren't Ivy League but northwestern, duke, and Stanford (who claims to be the Harvard of the west coast) are as close to Ivy League that you can get, and still play division I football. If he is just using football for education and a way to get a northwestern or duke education for free, that's one thing, but if he wants to get a great education while giving himself the best shot at pro ball, UF, UTexas, UNC, UMich, and UCLA/USC are the way to go

Not quite Ivy League, but better destinations for football players with NFL potential than any Ivy League school, especially NW and Stanford. FWIW, those schools are ranked higher than some of the Ivies.

I know I may get some comments about this but this kid reminds me of Harvin. They are nearly the exact same size, and their running style is virtually the same. The thing I always liked about Harvin was the quick first step and he got vertical very quickly. Clark is the same. There is no dancing around. The kid just plants the foot and gets up field and takes very good angles to take advantage of the defenders positioning to get into the open field and once he is there he is gone. No knock on Rainey but this kid is more Harvin like than anyone else I can compare him to.

I recall it was Greg Mattison that was in Urbans ear about B James.
Jacques is Brandons half brother.
Jacques is now running an apple store (possibly a couple) He's happy and doing well.
And B James is excited about coaching at St Joe's Academy. I hope he kills it there.

That is pretty doggone fair. The kid also has an "elegant" - I would call it - running style, like a gazelle. Boing, boing, up and gone, beautiful stride.
Amazing.

Could play lots of special teams: punt and kickoff returner, gunner on the punt coverage team, rush end to block field goals are starters. Young man is also a good hands receiver with an extra gear.

I was thinking the same thing, definitely speed is not a bad thing. Imagine him and Patton in special packages or him opposite Debose or Purifoy on KO or Punt return??

Geez. He accelerates like he was shot out of a cannon. Just imagine how good he'd be on jet sweeps and returns.
My goodness he's fast.
I say bring him in! lol
