Default ESPN College Basketball Power Index

This is before our dismantling of Marquette. Interesting to see considering the different factors that go into this system. I believe someone else mentioned that although Duke has played a tough schedule on paper, their highly ranked opponents were handicapped when Duke faced them. I guess this system factors that in to some extent, which explains how the Gators are even with them in the index despite the SOS difference.

Thanks for posting.

Honestly, I have not watched a ton of college hoops this year other than Florida. I have watched UK a couple of times and watched some of the games in Maui and some random games here and there. I have not seen Duke. I have seen Indiana play for around a half against Georgetown.

At this point, I have seen no teams more impressive early than UF. We may not be the best come March, but right now we're pretty damn good.

We have quality depth and a nice mix of guys who do different things. All of the returning players look like they've improved, some dramatically (Murphy looks like a different player this year, especially his strength and confidence).

I can't think of 1 team out there, at least right now, that we couldn't hang with or beat.

espn and the other networks always slobber all over the "elite" teams and this year is no different. The Gators are going to sneak up on everybody. But not for long if they keep blowing their opponents out of the water like they did last night.
