Leon McQuay III
He was a surprise visitor to the UF-FSU game yesterday. Bet you that the Matt Jones TD helped us big time with him. Throw in his current teammate Bailey and I think we are in prime position to land him.
His position is deep but we could always use that caliber of an athlete. He would see the field right away at UF in some capacity and would definitely be a starter his sophomore year.
McQuay should jump on board to a future Championship class. He wont get that at FSU, Vanderbilt or USC. Hell, Kiffen won't even be the coach once he sets foot on campus. They'll let every recruit sign in February and then fire Kiffen so that recruits can't leave. Take that one to the bank.

I dont think he was a surprise visitor could be wrong though. Florida gets Harris this week and then is done with the safety position. We haven't really been recruiting LM3.

Don't know why he wouldn't be a plus-one, especially if Washington is going to be a CB. I suspect that it's more about his lack of interest in UF than the other way around. We've taken players in this class with far less ability.

I don't get this one. I know we like Harris and Washington, but I don't see passing on a talent like LM3, when our board isn't loaded with available all stars. I see solid players and a number of committed players and wish list types.
We will regret LM3 imo.

Do not want. His dad is a lunatic. We are just fine with Harris and Neal.

Yea, and Jevon Kearse's brother was a convicted murderer. Didn't stop us from wanting him. From what I hear, McQuay is a good student and a great teammate. There are certainly no questions about his athleticism.

I am sure that the coaches know all the information that they can get or need regarding the players they are recruiting. Personally, I would love to have McQuay... but I am not in a position to see the whole landscape.
We backed away from Ray Ray Armstrong...who went to Miami.
He had it all. Size, height, speed, athletic...
But I guess a poor attitude...
Look how THAT turned out....

LM3 is nothing like Ray RAY. Florida just filled up at the position and LM3 father showed more interest than he did.

Some people asked if Nick Washington could possibly play corner. LMIII is more suited to play corner. Has size, skill and game changing speed. I would love to have him in this class.

McQuay just wasn't that interested in coming here. It happens all the time. It was never a question of whether or not we wanted him. Just like Agholor last year - the kid just wants to go somewhere else.
