I still have the Apple IIe computer and Comrex daisy wheel printer I paid $1500 for. No hard drive. 5-1/4 floppy. To change fonts had to change daisy wheels.

These are some screenshots of some computer games from the 1990's. Back then, computers weren’t nearly as sophisticated as they are today. The games were rudimentary but people were just as excited about them as they are today.

Baulder's Gate was incredibly fun!
Of course, I also remember playing games as a kid on an Atari 2600...

If I did around in my attic, I 'may' still have one of the very first "mini-computers" as they were called back then when I was working at Radio Shack..a TRS-80. A whopping 4K ram, you had to write EVERYTHING in Basic language back then...and if you wanted to save anything you did--you had to use a cassette recorder with a patch cable going into the mic input.
God those were the days.

I still have one of the first "portable" computers: a Sperry. The screen was about 8" across and built in. The keyboard stored in the cover which clipped onto the front for carrying. You carry it by a handle on the back. Weighs 40 lbs. 20 MB hard drive and 5-1/4 floppy.

You didn't have to do everything in BASIC. If you wanted some really fast programs, particularly graphics, you wrote it in assembly language. I was too poor then, so I wrote my own assembler and full screen editor in machine language. Talk about an exercise!
