Florida #2 In Latest ESPN Class Rankings
The Gators remain in the #2 spot in ESPN's rankings of the 2013 recruiting classes, behind only USCw. The top five are: USCw, Florida, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Michigan. UGa is #10 and FSU is #12.
Here's what ESPN has to say about our class:
"Who they have: With 21 commitments, including an 16 players ranked four-stars or higher, the Florida Gators remain in the No. 2 spot in the updated ESPN class rankings. The Gators are led by defensive back Vernon Hargreaves III, who is the No. 3-ranked player in the country, and ESPN 150 prospects defensive tackle Caleb Brantley, outside linebacker Daniel McMillian and safety Keanu Neal. Offensively, the Gators are in need of playmakers and that is exactly what they have in this class. Four-star running back Kelvin Taylor is the state of Florida's all-time leading rusher and he's joined by another four-star RB Adam Lane. Taylor, the nation's top RB, has rushed for over 30 touchdowns in his senior season. On the perimeter the Gators have four wide receiver commits led by 6-foot-4 wideout Ahmad Fulwood and four-star athlete Alvin Bailey.
Who they want: Florida has roughly five spots remaining in its 2013 class. Safety Marcell Harris, defensive tackle Montravius Adams, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko appear to be the top defensive prospects remaining on Florida's recruiting board. Harris will be making his decision on Nov. 29 between Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida State. Florida would like to wind out their offensive class by adding another offensive line prospect such as Laremy Tunsil, a five-star prospect, or Trenton Brown, a former Georgia commit."
