James Franklin seems like a great guy/coach. Happy for him (as long as they continue to lose to us).

With the way this year's game went, I disagree.

James Franklin will probably be coaching Tennessee next year so all that recruiting for Vandy could be all for naught.

It's good for the conference if the Vandy program steps it up a notch. Look what Northwestern is doing for the Big 10. They're probably going to finish with nine wins. They're getting great attendance at home games, and will bring in bowl revenue for the conference. Good thing. Won't be many Big 10 teams playing during the holidays.
If Vandy keeps recruiting the way they are, they could add to the SEC's bowl bonanza and to the credibility of the conference.

Bwhahaha. We'll shoot and land a much higher profile coach than Franklin. Nobody on the Hill would even consider Franklin, despite the result on Saturday.

Perhaps a wee bit less condescension is merited at this point.

How sad would it be if Vandy and Tennessee swap places in the conference hierarchy and it stays that way for four or five years?

Like Derrick Dooley? Or Lane Kiffen? Big Names don't necessarily mean excellent coaching. Vandy may be interested in renting your stadium for some of their big games in future years if they continue to improve with their "no name" coach. Maybe you guys can play some home games in Nashville? Not as difficult selling 40 K tickets.

Franklin would turn TN down, and you know it.
I don't see any reason why Vandy can't win 8-9 games a season moving forward. If Stanford can do it, they sure can with Franklin.

Would Franklin return UT to their dirty ways?

Tennessee fans are delusional. They think they are getting a high profile coach like Jon Gruden and the fact remains they couldn't get one 3 years ago so they settled for Dooley. UT had to take their 5th head coach choice by doing so because the others they went after turned them down.

the program is in a much better state than it was 3 years ago. Remember Kiffin left right around NSD. The team also has some talent now. Franklin will not get a UT offer

The SEC refs favor Vandy everytime we play Vandy i.e. the fumble that was called a touchdown in Gainesville 2007 and Percy's obvous touchdown called a fumble and Vandy recovers... Granted both games were out of reach for Vandy but those were two bad calls that stick in my mind as blatant calls in favor of Vandy, no excuse with reviewing the play.
