Official Final: Florida-58 vs Savannah St.-40, Tuesday, 7:00 PM, Sun/SportsSouth
The Gators have a short turnaround from their game Sunday and will be taking the floor once again on Tuesday night. This time their opponent is Savannah State out of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The Tigers come into the O-Dome with a record of 3-2. One of their two losses, by three points, is to the same Middle Tennessee team the Gators beat Sunday. Their other loss was also by three points to the UCF Knights, so we may get to see another scrappy club who will give the team some good competition.

This team was 21-12 last year and has all their starters back.

Savannah lost to Middle Tennessee and UCF by 3 points each. This could be a competitive game tonight.

I expect this to be a close game for awhile. Especially with students/fans starting to pile out of Gainesville for Thanksgiving.

The last time we played Savannah State, they were abysmally bad. On the order of 1-27 bad, or something like that. They've steadily improved ever since and are a pretty competitive program now. Can't take a nap tonight.

Is UCF the same scrappy team we once lost to?

I'd be surprised if we didn't beat them by 20 points, at the very least.

The Tiger's leading rebounder Jyles Smith, at 7.2 RPG, is only 6'3". I hope the Gators have in their gameplan to check him off the boards.

We are very good. In fact I think the Gators might be underrated at #7.
S St is probably the best team in the MEAC this year, but the MEAC is not a very good basketball conference.
I'd say that S St is about as good as the worst team in the SEC. That means if we don't come out prepared and focused we will have a pesky foe tonight.

They can beat this team by 35 points if they keep pounding it inside.
