Nice that his mother liked it, but there was noise coming from our own locker room that Adams was all Gator when he left Gainesville. He's the one who will suit up, not the mom. I doubt she liked UGA so much that she would keep him from coming to UF if that's what he wants to do.

“She said she liked Georgia a lot,” he said. “She liked it a little bit more than Clemson or Auburn. I think it’s because she talked to the coaches more and stuff like that. She told me that Georgia was a place she would like me to go … somewhere she wouldn’t mind.”

I hate those bass turds. Does not look good if you ask me. Sounds like he likes UG better than us and mom sure did not seem to disagree with him. However, I will never understand the bank comments and unless a person knows for sure it happened, it is not cool to accuse a school or a recruit of this. I know some of it is in fun but.....

Parental influences on their sons about where to go are really more about them than their sons. Too bad.
Many dads try and relive their playing days (if they played) through their sons, but that's not healthy and usually creates resentments if the son's choice of school is ignored and they wind up in a bad situation that's different from what they were told by the parent's favored school. Moms seem to want a pleasant experience while watching they're son play, but that lasts only 3-4 years.
It's about an education, then football, and then if theyr'e good enough...maybe the NFL
And, after the NFL, it's about a career in business or coaching or being an entrepeneur. The NFL money can run out fast and one needs to be prepared for the rest of their life.

Unfortunately, many parents of recruits live their lives though their sons and don't allow them to make and live by their own decisions. Effective sales and close efforts are to identify the decision maker, and it's usually mom or dad, rarely the recruit.

He reeks of UGA all the way. More power to him and UGA. At some point in time their faithful will tire of reeling in all the top recruits and competing to win the SEC East and nothing else.

IDK about anyone else but I have a problem with anyone, mother or not, influencing a recruit's decision to go anywhere but Florida

It's kind of sad when the recruiting process is made out to be a bigger deal for the parents than the actual students to be.
No parent should make it their process, or decision more than their child's. Although we don't know that the mom will eventually play a major role in Montravius' final choice for him, it's still sad that we even talk about it as much.
Me personally......I hope he pulls a "Spiller" on his momma and comes to Florida.
