Dickie V was calling Murphy a Bo Derek Baby, a perfect 10, he was 10 for 10 baby! What a game, kid is looking like Chris Bosh with a better jumper out there, maybe a Chris Bosh/ Tayshaun Prince combo, has been great watching him grow another shining example of a kid who rides out some early tough love by Billy D and turns himself into a pro

Turnovers were unacceptable, we were saved by an extraordinary shooting night which don't happen that often.
Game plan was spot on and perfectly executed, WE took Wisky out of their game. While they could have played better we dictated the game to them.
Defense was A+, rebounding was A+.

There was one timeout Billy called there in the second half when the lead went from around 18 to 12 that I could not have been more pleased with as the team regrouped and immediately streched it back out.
The only fault I could find with Murphy was when inbounding off a made basket, he was almost a little too non chalant with his feet. There were a couple of times he had one foot behind the line and had just barely picked up his second foot before he inbounded the pass. I know it's stupid but I've seen us get called for it before. I know it's trying to get the ball inbounds quickly and start the play and he did a much better job in the second half, but you have to find something to improve on.
Couldn't help but think of tupac when I saw Boynton pulling down those boards and knew somewhere he was smiling.

I always enjoy the feedback. I knew that rosario would be the most controversial grade.

Great post, agree all around.
Gotta clean up those turnovers, man.

Solid analysis. I will give it a 7.
Gainesville doesn't deserve Billy. Legendary coach against solid top 20 team and a half full arena. Very disappointed.

Ogbueze and Frazier are both very physical. They are going to get better. It seemed last night they were told after the first game where they couldn't hit anything to play defense, let the game come to you and don't force your shots. Frazier was spot on, Ogbueze played to distribute the ball and defend. I think these two are very talented. Graham didn't get to play very much, but again, he was told to defend and work the Gator offense.
Devon Walker is not too strong, but talented. If he works hard to get stronger and learns Billy Ball, he will be good also. He seemed to stick his nose in last night and the big strong players from Wisc. mobbed him. I believe after last night he knows what he has to do, it was pretty obvious.
I am with you Tupac in that Rosario can get rolling, is quick and a streaky scorer. But as always takes an early shot when if he would have worked it around to his teammates, we would have had a better result. Nothing has changed with Mike in that regard, but he does at least now and then look for his teammates. He tried to pass it inside to Patrick but Wisconsin was collapsing on him, just about every started threw away an attempt to get Pat going. I think the concern of Wisconsin was Pat and it opened it up for Eric.
Good Analysis overall, just adding my 2 cents!

"GAINESVILLE" doesn't care if Billy stays or goes. But GATOR basketball fans do. Still, Billy has been through rougher spurts of fans support than what he's going to have this season (our 2 NIT years). By now, he should know what he's going to get, and there should be no surprises involved. That doesn't mean that we can't keep trying to encourage folks to come out, but I think it's silly to suggest that anybody doesn't deserve Billy. He's getting paid better than most, he's able to recruit very well, and GATOR basketball fans love him!

I walked out of the O-Dome, after the NIT loss to Penn State at the end of the 08-09 season, with my son and we were both a bit down. What I told him though was there was one thing you could count on---- that Billy would have this team back to the Big Dance and we would become one of the top programs in the country again.
Thanks to Billy, his assistants and the players who chose Florida.

We must have had some pretty good inbounds plays
Don't disagree with the OP's analysis, but I was struck by the comments bemoaning the poor post entry passing and the great positional defense by Yeguete (which has become pretty standard for Will) when I think of how Tupac continues to rag on one of our past players (Dan Werner) who was an outstanding post entry passer and also played great positional defense.

I'm not about to turn this thread about Werner. I will just say I don't agree with your contention. If u want to talk about Werner start a thread and I'll chime in.

Great OP. Only a couple of comments:
Love the guy but PY was part of those entry pass turnovers and unfortunately I don't think you can teach better hands.
Minor point, but that sudden lead shrink was aided and abetted by BD playing 3 freshmen at one time.

Glad to see the grades back for another season. I thought the analysis was pretty spot on this time, although I have to confess they are usually much more entertaining after a poor performance.
