Do We Get a Win?
Like getting a W in baseball if the losing team gets 5 full innings of at bats?
Just sayin...
What does the official NCAA rule book say? If it's like the game doesn't count it could hurt our seed etc.
Discuss....
We were winning the game after all.

They can decide to continue the game where they left off, but they won't...

So it will stand as just another exhibition game for both teams.
Not good for those that shelled out some hard cash to see only 1/2 a game that won't count.
Oh well, UF got some good practice out of it.

ESPN is now reporting that the game will not count and will not be made up.

Nobody got injured and the university received a lot of publicity from the game. UF joined other fringe programs like UNC, MSU and OSU on their quest for valueless crap.

Obviously we should have turned down the exposure and played a crappy team from the sun belt

Our guys got to watch a naval induction ceremony on a ship and shake the hands of some very brave men and women, they got a taste of how fortunate they are and they played a good first half shorthanded- ill take all of that over a Sunday game against Alabama State
Even the OSU guys put on a dunking exhibition for the crowd on their ship, despite not playing, do you think the players wish the game would never have been scheduled?
Still, the logistics, man, how do you not account for that? Play the game at sunset

What risk of injury? They stopped before it got to that point.
Jeremy has our program at a level where we are invited to do such things. They were highlighting Mayport and wanted the most recognizable local program.
This is a problem in the NBA where sometimes the court is laid directly on top of the hockey ice. The injury risk is minor and we stopped before it even got there.

A woman's game was played in the afternoon successfully.
Two men's games were schedules in the Fall evenings and both were cancelled due to dew.
Figure it out.
It's all about the money, and it was idiotic to schedule an evening game on shipboard (except, perhaps on Lake Mead).

Publicity?
You mean from the backwoods NBCSports station that no one has.....
(except me, which I purchased yesterday just for the game, and will get rid of ASAP)

I think you missed the point on this one.
They played this on an battleship (inconveniencing EVERYONE) in front of a few hundred fans, mostly non-paid service men and women, to honor them and their families and their sacrifices.
This was not about the loot.
