Default Streaming Worship Services

Small church having done Youtubes and now ready to step up to streaming each Sunday. Have camera, internet and wanting to make right choice as to service as well as best producer for simple one camera, no mixing --- right pricing without having pop up viagra ads. Any suggestions???

Interesting question. I know a lot of big churches around the country do this but don't personally have experience with it.

This may be helpful:
"Learn how to live stream your church service," a 1 hour class from a conference in Buffalo, NY.

Canon Vixia HF R10 and I've used my very modest Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium. I used AVS4You for editing my movies for uploading to youtube.

do you have a way to plug the camera into a computer ...the same way you watch it on your tv (live!)

hdmi, usb etc...

make sure it is the same connection (type/output signal) for your computer that streams the video ...for say you VCR ...but your computer

personally, i would go with some cheap ... camera (for say video conferencing) and get some high quality sound card/microphone (find someone with a nice karaoke machine)

the picture quality can be drab, but the sound would drive people crazy

you could alway ask the owner of this site to broadcast

creative labs (sound blaster) has software/sound cards that sample the sound in the room and filter out the niose with normal computer mics

rerunning your sound setup at the location might have the same effect... i've had three computers with the same software

Awesome. Thanks for the idea about the sampling the sound in the room. My picture quality is pretty good, it's the sound that I'm most challenged with so your suggestions are a real plus. I'm working with a tech from Sweetwater Sound to get in the connectivity to the sound board where the current mics are connected to the PA system and route that through. It's been a little bit of a challenge to USB treats the camera as another usb stick for data, but there is an HDMI on the camera, but I don't have that on my laptop (might be good excuse to get a small mac laptop). I'm blessed to have time on my side to experiment since we are leaving a youtube on our website for folks to see a "sample" service, until I'm able to get a broadband connection.
