Even though we have major issues with our offensive line, Driskel holding on the ball too long, etc...
I must agree with the above poster.

A lone, brilliant light... shinning forth into a sea of blackness....

Oh yea.... Alabama LOST!

He was as vaunted as they came after his HS career. Seriously, I think we've done brilliantly when you consider Bullard and Fowler's immediate impact.

Stating stars don't mean anything is true in some respects but there's a correlation that can't be denied - teams that win historically are up at the top of these rankings.

Recruiting is just fine. Arguing to the contrary is not seeing the wood for the trees.
I agree, Muschamps recruits have made an earlier impact than our #1 recruited guy Ro Po, who so far hasn't done much for us. I would say Morrison, Fowler, and Humphries have done more as freshmen then he did his first two years. No knock on him, but Muschamps recruits have made immediate impact, star power or not.

Seems like much of the same to me. People just want to blame people that left since the problem would be gone. The job the staff has done in OL recruiting will show next year.

For the record though, in 2011 he held onto Driskel, Christy, Roberson, Purifoy who have been 4 of our most integral contributors to a 9-1 record this year.

In 2012 he added Fowler and Bullard who have both been stellar as true freshmen this year, as well as guys like Jones, Humphries, Jacobs and Morrison who have also contributed straight away. A consensus top 5 class at worst but who some people couldn't get excited about because we didn't add any of the signing day primadonas. Real rational.

In 2013 we have several elite prospects coming in yet again in Taylor, Hargreaves, Brantley - a linebacking trio that would be the envy of most in the country in Hearns, Powell and McMillan and a potentially instant impact WR in Fulwood. ESPN has us No.2 overall, Rivals at No.6 but you'd think the sky was falling for some people.

Thank you, sir, for being a voice of reason. Now, I feel much better about our outlook. I can step away from the ledge now and relax a bit.
