A sure fire way to entice Daub to look at UF...put him on a private plane. Fly him around the southeast. Feed him all the Lobster he can eat and ask him to keep a recruiting journal for the local paper!! It's worked before for another school!!

HAHA
Nice use of pictures.
Daub is a red flag, imho. Awesome talent, but he has issues. But when we had him trying to commit with the other Jacksonville kids he was told to hold it off and wait a little while... This is the proverbial "writing on the wall".... His issues were too much for Florida to take, let alone 1 of the first guys in the 2014 class.
Man, I am not feeling too good about the best 2 South Eastern LB's for 2014.... McMillan LOVES Ohio St. and Daub will inevitably end up in Bama...

Why do all of these kids want to go to schools where they don't play defense? Ohio St, Clemson, etc etc. Why?

Ohio St. has the Urban factor. Many SE kids will look at him like a Guru, because, to an extent, he is. Ohio St. has been working McMillan for a few months now, so us jumping in at this point and trying to sway him with a single visit is asking a bit much.
I said it last year and I'll say it this year.... Some of these kids in the South East are clearly studs... The type of players that you don't really HAVE to go out and see in person, you can see their films and listen to the grumblings from recruitniks throughout the nation... We should have jumped on some of these kids sooner... It makes us look bad when Urban beats us to a kid close to home by many many months. I know we are having a great season and our coaches need to focus on that... but we HAVE to jump on some of these kids sooner.... In some cases, that's all it takes.
Clemson just has swag from the last 2 years... Their last bowl loss was humiliating. Some of their big names (Nkemdiche, Elijah Daniel, Robinson) are looking elsewhere and will all more than likely sign with another school.... So the brakes are definitely being slammed on that program.

You know, we need to stop talking about Ohio State like it's the 10th ring of Hell. SEC superiority and all that, yada yada yada, I know, but OSU has won games. They've put people into the NFL. It's a good program. And Urban Meyer is a good coach.

Yes, it's quite bad now. That doesn't mean it will be bad forever and anon. And I'm glad that logic doesn't work, because if it did it would mean we'd be doomed to never again see a good Florida offense.
Units get better with the addition of better players.

I just wish kids who were already committed to us would see our defensive success and be totally convinced to stay. But recruiting is a strange animal

It's a painfully strange animal. We can trace much of our post-championship decline to the 2009 class, which signed a month after we won a national title. We lost four committed players in that class and missed most of our targets in the last couple months.
Teenagers are weird and do weird things. Most teenagers wear black clothes or color their hair or play Dungeons and Dragons. And no one cares because they're not expected to hold the fates of multi-million-dollar college football teams in their hands.

funny but this is why you don't get to concerned about a 14 recruit that committs in the summer of 2012...... 2014 LB Kain Daub has decommitted from LSU

His coach Adam Geis has a good relationship with Pruitt he has sent Walker McClain and Daub to FSU. There are a lot of rumors that Daub wont qualify.

Don't know what the deal is with Daub, but his stock has been sinking like rock. Is he even the best LB prospect in his own county?

How is his stock sinking when he is rated the #4 MLB on rivals and #1 MLB on scout ?

Scout? Seriously.
He was much higher on Rivals at one point, at least top 25 overall. Now he's down to 60, two spots behind Dillon Bates. He dropped from #1 to #2 on 247. So maybe that's not sinking like a rock, but there is somewhat less excitement about him. Guys like McMillan and Garrett are starting to look better. Too bad we aren't in better shape for McMillan. I think we have a decent chance at Garrett.
Needless to say, I'm over it with Daub.
