No official set up with us he lives 30 mins away. He continues to tell the media that Georgia and Alabama lead and we are somewhere behind that I tend to take him at his word.

If I grew up in Lake City and wanted to "get away," Athens and Tuscaloosa wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my destination list. I'd go to USCw, Michigan or some other high profile program in another region of the country. But I guess I'm not Tunsil.

Recruiting is about relationships he has a really good relationship with UGA's coaches and likes D Henry. I think this "getting away" thing might be overblown

After watching the game this past Saturday, I wonder which OL he thinks he would offer him more playing time, UF or UG?

Ours clearly but that probably all but guarantees he goes somewhere else and leaves us scratching our heads. Then again, he hasn't said PT is his priority.

My thoughts exactly. What is so exotic about bama or UGA? I like (barely) like our chances against the other deep south programs. Tuscaloosa is a $hi#hole. Athens is nice, but barely any different than Gainesville. He should look at Texas or Stanford.

Bama is a novelty but UGA, I'm not so sure about.

Maybe the kid isn't high on the Gators because he needs to get the hell away from some "anchor" friends.

AZ, are you saying we haven't laid out a plan for him? If that is true, shame on us.

I am not saying that at all. Most staff discuss a plan with every recruit UGA just might have had one that resonated with him better. He is not going to commit anytime soon so we will have our chance to convince him. Like I said at the beginning of the season you dont worry about Tunsil until after the season is over.

Of course... Uga himself barked to him that he will be the only pulling tackle in the country, where he will also "be featured" to carry the RB piggy back and get credit for the running yards. Then him, Mark Richt and his mother will all go to bible study afterwards.

He sees himself sitting behind DJ Humphrey fora couple of years.
Simple as that, I suspect.

His plans and Our plans are 2 completely different things.
He is going to play Left Tackle... He Does NOT want to sit behind or share snaps with Humphries. He wants to go somewhere and start at LT immediately with no competition.
That ain't here. Humphries is our guy for the next couple of years.
What we tried to do was sell him the RT position and he didn't like that. And honestly, now that we have Moore, and possibly Trenton Brown, coming on board, there isn't much of a real NEED for Tunsil.
Not to sell him short, he is an awesome OT... Would be a big deal for our OL to get... but it just is not going to happen.

I wish we'd all just move on... this thread gets more bumps than a toddler learning to walk. He's clearly not coming here. Neeeext!

Then...
Of course, we ALWAYS have that situation where the coaches at the other schools tell him WHAT HE WANTS TO HEAR... and then, get him signed up.
After about a year at being at Alabama or Georgia... they wind up moving him to right tackle...
Wherever he winds up... I would LOVE to see what happens to him.
Very talented player... but things just don't work out sometime the way a player wants them to.
Had a friend of mine who was insistent on wanting to play tight end. He had the moves, the quicks AND the eye-hand coordination to play the spot.
But he was too big and another guy on the team went on to play tight end. They moved my friend to tackle.
The sad fact was: The guy they moved to tight end was not as good as my friend would have been.

I dont think he is coming but you never know there are always surprises in recruiting. And it actually wouldn't be that big of a surprise if he picked Florida in the end
