Bottom-line, until Will Muschamp shows that he can actually come into Louisiana and take a player LSU wants, I will remain a skeptic.

I just don't see Brumfield staying home... He has already stated that he wants to leave.
Although he has camped at LSU, he has also camped at Florida and Miami. He is really high on both Florida and FSU... This would explain why both of his parents were with him on his unofficial's.
If he commits early, it's going to be to a Florida-based team. Although, if he waits and commits this time next year, then that's plenty of time for _anyone_ to get into the race.

I am not sure how one defines "fight" in recruiting. Here are the facts, which tell me a lot, UF recruited Phillips, UF took Phillips' "commitment," and Phillips ultimately flipped to LSU. That really tells me all I need to know regarding Muschamp's recruiting prowess in Louisiana, such as it is.
Regarding Brumfield, his dad posts on an LSU board, I like our chances.

They are going through the process just like any family would.
Miles and Kragthorpe (QB coach) both have sons who also play for U High with Brumfield, not worried.

Anything is possible, but I believe the past is the best predictor of the future. UF hasn't gotten a player out of Louisiana that mattered since Ike Hilliard. So...
Given Kragthorpe's medical condition I see him taking a non-coaching position in the athletic department within the next year or two.

And if the past is a good indicator of the future, you'll still have that bull$hit 1908 national title in your sig.

2014 QBs
Wade Freeback 6'4" 185 Davie, FL rumored to have an offer
Chase Litton 6'6" 195 Tampa, FL
2014 RBs
Bo Scarbrough 6'2" 222lb AL Commit, but took an UF visit.
Jalen Hurd 6'3" 195lb Henderson, TN (as mentioned previously and could grow into other positions)
2014 WR
I think Dixon, Scott & Ford are great choices to go with Bronson. A few other names to watch.
Kendrick Edwards 6'6 190 Miami, FL
Adly Enoicy 6'5" 200 Delray Beach, FL
Eddie Neal 6'4" 215 Okeechobee, FL

Take that LSU bullsh*t back to Tiger Droppings and worry about if your team will cross the 50 yard line against Bama this weekend.

Very interesting, it is recruiting and things change very quickly. I guess champ got us into the picture with him... At any rate, he's a great athlete.. I don't really know what position he will play in college to be honest

Offensive Line:
OT - K.C. McDermott - 6'6" / 285 - West Palm Beach, FL
OT - Mason Cole - 6'4" / 285 - Tarpon Springs, FL
OT - Reilly Gibbons - 6'6" / 270 - Saint Petersburg, FL
So, that's the 3 best OT's in the state (I left off Trevor Darling, a 6'5" / 300 OT from Miami who is already committed to Miami... I don't see him waivering). K.C. McDermott would be the real pull... His recruitment will go National, I mean, it already has. We have a chance, but if we miss out, Mason Cole is another GREAT OT to be recruiting. I have a good feeling about one of these guys, but I couldn't tell you which one... just waaaaaay too early. We do seem to be recruiting Cole pretty hard at the moment, or at least, pursuing him more than the others. It's a wait and see thing with McDermott, his brother plays at Miami, but they already have a big talented OT committed (Darling) and I am hoping this makes McDermott search elsewhere... but we can all expect Notre Dame, Ohio St and Miami to be major players... I would not be surprised at all if a few SEC teams jumped in as well.
OG - Garrett Brumfield - 6'3" / 270 - Baton Rouge, LA
OG - Isaiah Wynn - 6'3" / 265 - Saint Petersburg, FL
OG - Corey Martinez - 6'5" / 295 - Tampa, FL
OG - Travaris Dorsey - 6'3" / 280 - Jacksonville, FL
Brumfield is the best option here. He is the kid who goes to school on LSU's campus and would like to get away from home. He is really liking us and FSUcks, it's looking like Brumfield simply want's to come to Florida, one way or another. I like our chances. Wynn could be the best OG in the state of Florida, however, he is not holding a UF offer, that will have to change. Martinez is another great OG who doesn't want to leave the state... it's coming down to the 4 powers (UF/UM/FSU/USF). Dorsey earned an offer at the last FNL... out of the four, I think Dorsey is the biggest lock. Nice kid who really likes the Gators. An excellent addition for an OL that needs depth.
Center's?? None that I've seen. This position typically goes unnoticed until the summer. Have to wait and see who pans out at the camps and who has a good season. From what I have seen though, there is no stand-out guy like Kublanow for 2013. I am really hoping that Cameron Dillard can step up at OC... he may HAVE to.
QB's:
QB - Will Grier - 6'3" / 170 - Davidson, NC
There's only one QB, in my opinion, up to this point. Grier is looking like he has some real interest in playing for Florida... and vice versa. The longer he waits to commit, the more likely another name will emerge... But again, it's waaaay early, so he'll have some time.
RB's:
RB - Sony Michel - 5'11" / 190 - Plantation, FL
RB - D'Ernest Johnson - 5'10" / 180 - Immokalee, FL
RB - Tony James - 5'10" / 160 - Gainesville, FL
RB - Donte Thomas-Williams - 5'11" / 205 - Durham, NC
Now I can see why we wanted to take 3 RB's for 2013.... There isn't a lot here. Maybe this will change around summer time. Sony Michel is the best in-state and will most likely be a top 3 RB... But I am not countning on him committing to UF... this could change, anything in recruitment can change fast, but at this time, I say he is leaving the state. D'Ernest is looking like a real option for 2014... I think it's a matter of time before he gets on board. I know our staff is going to test the market and try to come out with a BIG TIME name, but we'e going to need 2 RB's and it's looking like the best ones aren't even looking our way. I say we snap up D'Ernest's commitment and then try to work one of the top backs.
TE's:
TE - Jeb Blazevich - 6'5" / 240 - Charlotte, NC
This is the best target. I am sure other names will emerge, but hey, look at his height and weight... We should want to snap this kid up. We could really use him. BUT He is holding offers from just about every school in the nation. We need to get him here on campus ASAP. On the bright side he is from NC, so our chances of landing him skyrocket, lol.
WR's:
WR - Ermon Lane - 6'2" / 190 - Homestead, FL
WR - Trevion Thompson - 6'2" / 177 - Durham, NC
WR - Speedy Noil - 5'10" / 175 - New Orleans, LA
WR - Artavis Scott - 5'10" / 175 - Tarpon Springs, FL
WR - Johnnie Dixon - 5'10" / 187 - Palm Beach Gardens, FL
WR - Isaiah Ford - 6'2" / 170 - Jacksonville, FL
This is the most stocked position on on offense for 2014, in my opinion. There's a lot of names here. Artavis Scott and Isaiah Ford are looking like the most likely to become Gators. I am sure the staff will targets a TOP NOTCH WR to round out this class... we need guys who know how to play well in our offense and catch a mean ball. Four WR's for 2014 is realistic. Ryeshene Bronson is going to be a beast, as well. We should do great here.
Well, that's about it for Offense. Again, more names will emerge... it's entirely possible that I forgot someone, so feel free to post any additional names. I left off a few names too... like Leonard Fournette... he's going to be a top 3 RB, but it's already down to Bama and LSU.
I'll probably make a Defense post tomorrow... That one will have a lot more names... Wanted to do the Offense first because it's still a pretty small list at this point.

Great post, thank you.
It's hard to imagine that "Speedy Noil" goes anywhere other than FSU. That name seems like destiny.

hehehe, I don't think we have a huge shot with him, but he is holding an offer. I would say LSU at this point, but only because he is from New Orleans.
