Not even close Reed is a much bigger threat to go to the NFL than Trey. Reed has a position unlike Trey. The SR TE class is pretty week Jordan is probably top 8 TE in the country its a stretch he goes pro but I could see it happening especially if he has a big game during bowl season. Trey Burton is not going pro.
He's a great receiver, but I haven't really stayed caught up on his TE fundamentals. Blocking, etc. Reed's got 1.5 seasons under his belt as a TE. Aaron Hernandez left as a junior, and went in the 4th round. I'm not sure if there were other reasons behind it, but he was a very great TE, but was drafted relatively low. If Reed were playing at AH's level, I'd say he goes pro. But for now, I figured he was a lock to return.
And correct, Trey Burton isn't going pro. At least not til after his senior season. Do we have another jack of all trades-type of guy being recruited/committed to us?

Failed a drug test. Admitted to marijuana. His draft stock dropped.
Edit: He also won the John Mackey award the year he left. Chico has talent for sure...
Hernandez's Senior year HS stats:
Offense = 67 receptions for 1,807 and 24 TD's
Defense = 72 Tackles, 12 Sacks, 3 Forced Fumbles, 2 Fumble Recoveries and 4 Blocked Kicks.

they are not going to recruit guys like Burton or Hines if someones turns into that they will use them. Right now the offensive staff is using what they have best it is not what they want. They want to be constructed like Alabama.
Hernandez went in the 4th round not because of talent but because of off the field issues. How often do you see guys like Hernandez block?

Here is Reed vs A & M
Reed definitely has the talent to go; there's no questioning that. It would just seem odd for him to go so early with him being new to to the position. Never say never though.
What kind of guys does our offensive staff like? I know we wanted taller receivers, but I don't know much else

The defense is not really going to change. On O they want a really big Oline thats why you see the staff saying no to guys like Crowder. RB's they want a stable of guys that can run between the tackles and like 1 speed back that's elite.
Basically the staff wants to run the ball well then play action deep to tall WR's. Just watch a Alabama game they run with Lacy & Yeldon then throw down the field to Cooper (a Florida kid). It seems as though they want a QB that is a threat to run but not your typical "dual threat" guy ie Denard Robinson.
Do you guys see us picking up a speedy back a la Rainey style to play WR and some RB. It doesn't fit muschamps mold, but I know for sure pease would LoVE to have one guy that runs a 4.28 40 or a track guy for the sweeps we run. He'd be a threat no matter where we are. Sure stick with Jones and our big backs for everydown, but we could always use a guy like that. Sure he'd be a track star but we wouldn't try to run him in between tackles. No way in hell. ( doesn't have to be 2013 can be 2014)

I think Florida take Tony James from Gainesville in 2014

Would Driskel be considered a typical dual threat? Because I like the way he plays. Although he's not an average athlete by any means. I'm not really a fan of the Tyler Bray or AJ McCarron-type quarterbacks. I like at least some running ability.

I am not sure if they would say no to a talent like Bray but here is Will Grier's highlights competition is not good but you see what they like. I think accuracy takes precedent though.
I hope Reed doesn't go pro after this year as he is a huge part of our offense and will be missed. I could see his draft shooting up and him leaving though, he reminds me a good bit of Hernandez with similar skill sets. He is still a little raw but I think he will do well at the next level. My gut feeling says he leaves after this year and goes 3rd-4th round.

He throws very well, and still runs pretty well. I know this is out of left field, but what's the possibility of Skylar Mornhinweg taking over after Driskel leaves?

Way to early to tell Skylar is very athletic could play safety at some schools. I think if Florida signs Will Grier he would beat out Skylar and Starver but Skylar having two extra years in the system might be hard to beat out.

I think I've asked you this before, but is it pretty much settled that Jacoby is off to a different school after this year? Barring anything extreme. That would probably put Skylar as our #2 QB (maybe not though. I haven't paid much attention to our QB situation besides a few kids). I think Max recently had a HS game and everybody on here was pretty unimpressed. I never got to check it out. I guess everybody has a bad night though.

I think Jacoby will leave there is no reason to stay. His High school coach's comments makes it seem like he will leave as well. If Driskel gets hurt and then Starver is chosen as the QB I just might not watch the rest of the season next year. So yes I expect Skylar to play

Do you think Max was a bad pickup? Or was this just a low class for our QB recruiting in general

Florida had to take a QB and Asiantii Woulard whole family was mad he was like the 8th choice, so Florida really had no choice but to take Max. I think Max might be able to turn into a good football player but his footwork is terrible which is weird because he has had QB coaches for like 4 years. Max has a great arm though and he will work hard. Pease needs to close the deal on Will Grier there are no excuses.

Footwork is something that can be taken for granted (by somebody regular like me), but it really is important. I guess Tyler Murphy is kind of in limbo right now? He's somebody I really wish could play. Not necessarily at QB, but he's athletic, he's a team guy, and he just seems like a good person. I probably look at players too personally. Evidently saw action at WR on Saturday. Pretty interesting, though Muschamp insists he's staying at QB

he is not going to see the significant playing time at WR. Meyer and Daz should have found better QB's than Tyler and Jordan in back to back years but its hard when you had Tebow & Brantley on the team. Those guys just play against terrible comp in high school the learning curve was huge at the next level. Jordan had all the physical ability to be a force at the QB position. CWM was just putting things on film for Georgia to have to worry about. You have to get an elite QB every 3 years that's why 2014 is so important.

Could we pick up a JUCO QB? Maybe not this year, but for the 2014 class?
