Default In post-Calhoun era, which national champion coach will retire next?

If you ask me the concept of a "post-Calhoun era" is a bit much. Here is the UF part and Norlander has Donovan retiring relatively soon:

Quote:
Best guess at retirement: 2024

Billy Donovan, 47 (Seasons: 18; Florida, 2006, 2007)

Donovan has two titles at Florida, but he's still hungry. I can see Donovan retiring early, however. I can't picture him coaching at 60 the way I can the second-youngest coach on this list, Kansas' Bill Self.

If Billy retires at 60 he will have been at UF for 31 years.

The guy was born to do what he is doing. He's not leaving anytime soon - not that 2024 is soon.

Isn't the answer pretty easily Coach K? He's already up there in age, 65, has 4 titles and won't be catching Wooden, would catch Pat Summit for most wins in 6-7 years (~160 behind) and now 2 Olympic golds.

Maybe they are expecting him to keel over berating a ref. Or, maybe they are expecting major NCAA sanctions. Making K stand for "Kicked to the curb."

They probably just removed the obvious choice so they could have a discussion.
