Another fall's arrived, and so here it is, another year of anticipation, expectation and premature delusions of grandeur for teams and their fans. College football's already in full bloom, and the NFL season is a day away. Life is officially perfect once again. Seriously, what beats the fall? Nothing. You know it to be true.
The calendar may still technically chart now as the summer, but the return of football means the season has changed. Of course fall also means the start of school. It's a feeling many enjoy. For similar reasons to sports, the fall and start of school brings anticipation. New beginnings, building on past accomplishments, or hopeless hopes of erasing past embarrassments. Forget January; this is the real new year. You can get better. You can change!
