Is it mutual? I liked this kid from the beginning, but I figured Sherit had gotten the ship they would have held for him. Is he back in it with Walker off the board?
the coaches are recruiting him I am not sure the coaches know where they are going to put Sherit I think they just like him as a football player

It will be his 3rd time visiting Texas so yes. I think we lead but until he commits to Florida I will be nervous. He will probably visit Oklahoma and maybe a few more schools.
Im starting to think that Marcell Harris will not come to UF. He is looking really hard for a good reason not to be a Gator. The longer he takes, the worse our chances get imo. Hopefully his visit to Texas is underwhelming.

Doubt that. Can't speak from experience but after seeing Austin all of the people I know say it's their new favorite city

He has been there before it was always his plan to check out all his options. I do believe he is looking for a reason not to pick Florida but as of right now I think we still lead.

Have always heard terrific things about Austin and UT. Certainly he might want to be a Gator in the end but aside from the great city that Austin is UTex has room for another safety having five in latest three classes versus our seven.

Yeah, in one of the interviews I read it really sounded like he didnt want to follow in his dad's shadow

I loved it and wanted to move there badly, but visiting the campus is a different experience. I don't know that it's so distinct from Gainesville that high school players fall in love with it the same way.
FWIW, it's not my favorite city by a long shot. Once you get away from the older part of the city, it's just like Atlanta or Charlotte. Burbs are burbs. If anything, Austin's burbs might be more boring.
I live in the Austin suburbs and like it quite a bit. As far as UT goes it's in a great location and near one of the more popular party districts in the country. They have great facilities and obviusly spare no expense. One thing UF has going for it is that I think his grandma still lives in Gainesville. I am not 100% certain on that.
It is intersting that UT has started to recruit Florida more than they used to (at least recently). They went after Nelson A. last year quite hard and now Harris. It also seems like we are actually recruiting Texas less than even when Meyer was here. We pulled in a few kids from Texas during his tenure. I would have thought Muschamp would have recruited Texas more than he has with his conncections in the state. Maybe he has but it hasn't yielded anything yet.

CWM understands that location is one of the big keys in getting recruits to pick a school. If a kid is a phenomenal player or has a connection to Florida they will go after him but he would like to recruit Florida and Georgia for the most part because of location. There is really no need to go into Texas. Expect Alabama and LSU to be more active in Texas now that Texas A & M is in the SEC.

And I still dont believe his Dad favors Texas. His Mom is the one he will lean on for his decision. His grandmother still lives in Gainesville.
