All I know is that we lost Max White, Jesse Winkler, and Lance McCullers to the draft....I am not sure about Avery Romero...I think he was our next highest drafted player out of high school after those aforementioned 3...being from Jax we have a couple of Jax boys coming into the class...one is Romero (if he comes) and the other is Christian Dicks from Providence School I believe....both had great seasons...I don't know much about anyone else but I thought this would be a good starting point

Here is a list for you. Our top 3 OF - Brinson, White, and Winker - all signed for big $$. Top P McCullers has also signed. IF Avery Romero and P Jon Sandfort went in the 3rd round. Highly likely that Romero signs and decent chance that Sandfort does as well. Andrades is a football player, so not sure how that is going to work out. Sully has already said that Richie Martin is going to be a player for us and will likely start next year.
Raphael Andrades OF 6-1 190 R R Lincoln Tallahassee FL
Gerald Bautista 3B 5-11 190 R R Steinbrenner Lutz FL

I used Baseball America as my source.
By the way, only Pigott has signed for current UF players.

it would be interesting to have a running archive of current [and past?] gator players and their draft positions coming out of high school. might be good to see improvement and/or regression as they make their way thru college....also would like to compare the new 'crop' w/ the current players on the team...is there such a list?

Romero would be a great get but not sure it happens as Marlins likely to make a run at him and over pay slot. Kid can hit with the best of them. Would be a a great catcher prospect. Has outstanding arm but speed is less then average at around 7.4 or so which is very slow for a middle infielder. His bat alone will get him in the starting lineup. Florida field is perfect for him in terms of hitting home runs. Kid would put up double digit his freshman year.

Sully is going to have to change his style a bit next near. Power numbers will go way down so no more wait for big inning. Will need to manufacture runs a bit more. Guys like Turgeon and Tobias need to have 20+ stolen bases next year and the truth is they both should be able to get there. Martin kid is very under rated. The decision of Thompson and Hudson Randall may perhaps be our biggest. Thompson gives us the center fielder we desperately need with speed and some pop and Hudson would give us a great starting rotation.

Only Andrades, Martin, and Hanhold did not sign. All others signed including Romero.

Last year wasn't much better.
We're in for a fairly precipitate decline this season.

To be clear, I don't think he means only 3 players are coming to campus...he just means out of the all the incoming players who were drafted, only 3 of them chose to come to UF....but there are other incoming players as well...and don't forget look no further than Preston Tucker as far as recruiting being an inexact science...we may have a diamond in the rough

Not necessarily, but we cannot stand injuries. Very little depth, either players or pitchers.

I agree with the depth concerns. I just have a lot of trouble imagining that we're going to score very many runs next year, even if everyone stays healthy. It'll require massive improvements from the likes of Tobias, Shafer and Gushue, a small step up from Turgeon, a return to health and solid play from Thompson and a host of pleasant surprises.
I don't think we'll be '06 or '07 bad. But after the last three years, a decent regional squad is going to be a significant drop-off.

Can't argue with anything you said. But if we can get into a regional, especially if we host, anything can happen. It wouldn't be any more fluky for a solid regional team to make it to Omaha than it was for our '12 team to go 2&Q in Omaha.
This team was loaded and just never really clicked after the injuries started to pile up - even after most of the players returned. Baffling.
