Wow! That's impressive! At his height, it would be great if he was a similar runner as Jones-Drew. Can't wait to see him carry the ball...

Bullis, I won't argue with you! That size back has GOT to be difficult to bring down. I imagine he's pretty tough and pounding the LB's always pays off!!

I wonder if we won't encourage him to take off some weight. He was able to run under 11 seconds before his injury. I think he weighed just a little over 200 back then.

We've been needing one of those powerful bulls at RB.
Think the coaches have probably got a good one in this kid.

I think his speed will come back, even at his current weight, he just needs to get back in the groove of playing on a consistent basis. One thing is for sure, that kid is a ball of muscle.

I wouldn't use the word significantly but he does edge out Trent at that stage. With all the training methods, techniques and ect. it isn't that hard to really improve your bench.
I was running a log on the health forum for awhile. Took me about i think 5 months to go from 225 to 315 on the bench. Then i began to cut. If i kept on bulking i think i could of got to 415 1rm in i'd say the next 6 to 8 months. I'm also 30 lbs lighter than he is.
Not trying to take away anything from Adam, very impressive for a guy at his age and size. But i believe as time goes on you'll see more and more guys like this. All it takes is good nutrition and proper training and of course the will and determination to reach that goal.
Just think about when he comes to UF and gets under a even better training and conditioning program. He will become even stronger and better. If he continues to grow and improve. I could see him getting 30+ reps @ 225 at the combine.

I was going by the youtube comment which has Lane bench pressing sixty pounds more as a junior than Richardson managed as a senior.

He weighed in at 216 at the NFTC today. Derek Tyson said he looked really quick. I'm glad he is impressing... should almost certainly get that 4th star when they update the ratings. And he should shoot even higher when football actually starts.

He ran a 4.7 40 at a combine back in February, but all the times were slow that day.

Adam Lane, Brent Pease, Doug Martin
I thought it was interesting that 2013 commitment, Adam Lane, has a very similar body type as Doug Martin possess. The interesting part is that Pease called the plays for Martin, so this may provide Pease some insight on how to best use Lane later on. Not saying that Lane=Martin, just noting the common links.

AL's RB body type- short, strong, stout. Was there anything special about the way Peace called plays for Doug Martin?

No idea. Looking at the UGA stats, Martin did not have a great game, but did well enough to keep the D honest.

Lane reminds me of Trent Richardson when Trent was in HS. Not so much by his stat's but by his freaky strength and the fact that both are work out warriors.

Adam Lane back to 100%
Adam Lane scored 5TDs tonight in his spring jamboree where he played two different schools for a half each. In the first game he had 8 rushes for 80 yards and two TDs, one from 4 yards and one from 37 yards. The second game Lane had 3 rushing touchdowns from 65 20 and 30. Hes gonna kill it at UF if he stays healthy!!!

Yea saw that earlier. Sounds like he was hitting the hole hard and running away from the defense. Can't wait to see him in OB.
