External monitor on laptop, computer forgets settings

philnotfil Gator Country Silver Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 11,237	External monitor on laptop, computer forgets settings I have a Dell Latitude E6520 with an NVIDIA NVS 4200M. I have an Acer G235H plugged into it, extending the display. Every 5-8 times the computer goes to sleep, when I wake it up it forgets the settings and the external monitor will be mirroring the laptop. Any ideas on why? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
