Default Need the name of a game

When I was younger (in the 90's) I had a game that you played outside and I can't remember the name of it. I am hoping somebody here knows what I'm talking about and remembers the name of it.

You had a 6-sided foam (Nerf style) cube "die" that had a different color on each side. Everyone had like 3 wristbands that were all the same color, each person's wristband color corresponding to a color on the die. Basically, someone threw the die into the air and whatever color it landed on had to run to the die while everyone else ran away. When you got to the die you yelled stop and everyone had to stop. Then it became like dodgeball. You throw the die at someone and if you hit them you got one of their wristbands, but if they caught it they got one of yours. If you lose all your wristbands you are out.

I know exactly what game you are talking about but I do not know the name of it.

I can only remember the colors. "I remember... the Alamo" (Pee-Wee's Big Adventure reference there)

That used to be my favorite game every growing up! Can't remember what it is officially called, but I think we used to call it scramble-ball. Man, we used to play that for hours! Brings back good memories

Got it!!! I was close with my scramble-ball guess.

The game was called Scramball back when I used to play (http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/u...2;t=003990;p=1), but it's now being sold under the name Scatterball and uses numbers in addition to the colors. http://www.flaghouse.com/search-14551-Category=

I've never heard of this. There were a lot of older kids in my neighborhood and they were usually passed the stage of games like this when I was just getting into them.

Did anyone else have BB gun wars? No more than 3 pumps of the gun allowed. If you were suspected to be in violation of this you were lined up against a makeshift firing squad while the other kids tried to guess how many pumps you went over. When they came to their conclusion all would pump their guns to the guessed amount and fire away. The guilty party would have his back turned of course so he wouldn't get his eye shot out. Safety first. I was placed against the firing squad one time, falsley accused I might add, but I had a BB pistol hidden in my waist band and shot my way out of there. Needless to say I picked up video games for a little while after that.

When we weren't playing that it was usually manhunt or dirt bomb wars. There again if you were caught throwing a dirt clod that was mostly rock you faced another firing squad of dirt clods made of mostly rock being hurled at you by the other participants.

If kids today were caught playing this way they would be charged with something or thrown in juvee. Most of those bastards ended up there anyway!
