I'm happy for the Gamecocks and Spurrier if they can hold Clemson off. It's hard to think of a more rabid, yet success-starved fan base anywhere in the country.

They're certainly not going to win the SEC next year, but with Georgia down and Tennessee light on talent, South Carolina looks like they *could be good enough to win nine games next year, and if they catch a few breaks, maybe 10.

*Yeah, right. Who am I kidding?

Big day for USCe and the SEC. This is a very embarrassing loss for the ACC. UF will roll FSU and UGA could easily upset GT.

Then, of course, the SEC gets to bask in the glow of a huge #1 versus #2 showdown in the SECCG while the ACC will have trouble selling tickets.

I hold little hope FSU can make it competitive against UF this year. I just don't want it to get embarrassing until at least the 4th quarter.

I fully expect UGA to give GT plenty of trouble. GT will be lucky to win. Yes, lucky.

USCe just dominated the line of scrimmage. It was ugly. Clemson sometimes just doesn't show up (such as their loss to MYD earlier this year). Clemson, I think, got to happy after beating a pesky VIR team that played really hard last week despite having nothing to play for. Clemson wasn't ready to play football and USCe was primed. Game over.

The SEC team just simply took it to them and made them look soft.

I hate to admit it but that is what happened. The better, tougher, better coached team won.

this can be a really good team when there is a commitment to running the ball. the talent level should be there for a sec run next year if everyone comes back.
