Default Having trouble with GCTV and other videos

When I listen to GCTV and also some other videos, the playback keeps catching up to the download and the video stops until a buffer is established. Drives me nuts. Anyway, I have a Dell 4600 running XP with 1.5 GB of ram. Use Comcast broadband for my internet. Are there any settings or tweaks I can make to download quicker?

pause the video and grab a snack...come back in 5. It's not your pc nor your internet. It's probably who is hosting the video and the amount of people hitting that host (not just for that video)

Thats what I've been doing, but it is reassuring to know that its not my pc. I was thinking if I were to upgrade, among the advantages, I wouldn't have this problem. From what you are saying though, even if I got a new pc with dual processors, windows 7, etc. I would still have the same problem.
