What about the 2008 Senate seat from Alaska that went to the Dem as well? In that one, the only reason Stevens was defeated was because of the serious corruption charges of which he had been accused by Democrats. Those charges have all since been thrown out as being completely made up, and those who brought the charge have been excoriated by the judicial system.

That doesn't change the fact that now a Dem is in that Senate seat, and the ends justify the means for those on the left so it was worth it to smear an innocent man "for the greater good".

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that support for a government-run health-care plan to compete with private insurers has rebounded from its summertime lows and wins clear majority support from the public.

More than three out of every four Americans feel it is important to have a "choice" between a government-run health care insurance option and private coverage, according to a public opinion poll released on Thursday.

A new study by SurveyUSA puts support for a public option at a robust 77 percent, one percentage point higher than where it stood in June.

so however or wherever you get the notion that no one supports this public option, it just might be incorrect. ya think?

This is sort of funny....ironic...tragic....and ignorant all rolled in to one.

I guess if one were to post on a mesage board just 15 months ago that the federal Government would use taxpayer money to bailout Wall street, large banks and Two of the three major automobile companies it would sound just as sensational as the above post. But, when you also add in the Feds granted 40% of the ownerrship of a major automobile manufacturere to the Union, forced banks to take the bailout funds and have tripled the national debt in only 9 months, you would have been called a partisan lunatic.

Then, you get to also add in a "Universal healthcare" plan that will "expand" medicaire to cover an additional 20 million or so Americans , will FORCE employers to provide insurance or be fined, will force individuals to buy insurance or be fined , will force more and more mandayes on private insurers will not alow renewals of currently held insurance and will effectively put the private insurance companies out of business......you're head starts spinning.

The cherry on top will be cap and trade coupled with massive tax increases to cover these utopian ideas of a perfect society financed on the backs of people that actually want to work and provide for the families.

I retrospect, the above post is fairly accurate. The Government BETTER come for our guns......Or else the rest of that childish tirade is right on the money....

There won't be be any Americans left to perform abortions, only the illegals the left wants so desperately to protect.

lets see. bush passed that 'tarp' to stop the crashing of the financial community. you guys weren't against that, and the financial community finally (fairly well) stabilized. now, without regulations, the same crap happens again. but you're against regulating them. that makes sense.
you're mad that a 60-40 dem led congress passes the agenda it was ELECTED to pass. with a much larger majority than the pub led congress had when it 'crammed legislation down the collective throats of the left'...but of course, that TOO, was ok.
you're against any health care reform ideas from the left, yet present none of your own.
you divide your own party against itself (run off ALL moderates, even if they're not really that moderate) to 'purify' your party.....and see nothing wrong with that either.
really? 'purify'? and that's exactly what's happening to the republican party. but that's ok, right? anyhow, we do accept EX republicans gladly.
