But but but Charles Barkley told me Turner Gill was an incredible coach and Auburn only passed him up because of the color of his skin!

Yeah, everytime I watch even just a highlight of a Buffalo game, I think about the media outrage of how Auburn and other schools passed on Turner Gill. The broadcasters still consider him to be a lock for a top job next year. With that record? I don't see it. Buffalo surprised a lot of teams last year, now they are on everyone's radar.

It's obvious the media uses his race to get on their soapbox. Isn't that a form of racism? Where is the outrage for Jim Levitt at USF? He has built a more consistent program. I definitely don't understand why Charlie Strong isn't a head coach somewhere.

didnt see a post like this coming.
south florida is a bcs school. every buffalo win or loss doesnt have to reference why gill should or shouldnt be a coach at a bcs school. thats how i feel about it especially because i cant even recall seeing a highlight of buffalo this year, and im sure some people who go out of their way to comment on gill do so without the slightest knowledge about that program either, regardless of what side of the fence on about him as a coach.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure Gill is a good coach and would probably do very well at a BCS school.

Leavitt's been offered other jobs but he's apparently keen on staying at USF.

Yeah...I watched some of that game...it was on the smaller screen just below the Orlando-Charlotte NBA game at BWW last night.
