PC atmosphere caused NO ACTION.

"I want to be clear that this wasn't about anyone questioning his religious views. It is different when you are a civilian than when you are a military officer," said Finnell, who is a physician at the Los Angeles Air Force Base.

"When you are in the military and you start making comments that are seditious, when you say you believe something other than your oath of office — someone needed to say why is this guy saying this stuff.

"He was a lightning rod. He made his views known and he was very vocal, he had extremely radical jihadist views," Finnell said. "When you're a military officer you take an oath to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.

"They should've confronted him — our professors, officers — but they were too concerned about being politically correct."

I'm not sure if it was the vague and always-convenient-to-blame PC or not, but given all the warning signs, the fact that the FBI and Army both investigated, it's surprising that they didn't pursue it. Of course, you've got the inevitable conservatives trying to blame it on Obama, because he apparently replaced the entire FBI and Army with all his own appointees.

Sorry, I'm not buying it. We have a Patriot Act and loose rules on spying and wiretapping.....after all that intelligence gathering and spying, it's not reasonable to believe that authorities backed off because of political correctedness. The PC excuse and sound bite is out there to place blame on Dems and the current administration.

In this context the true purpose of the "too politically correct" meme is to try to get critics to want to send more of our boys overseas to kill more brown people. We really really need to start seeing through the left/right illusion in this country.

When you take the reigns you become the boss and the responsible person.

Or it could be like a football coach taking over a team where we heard the cupboard was left bare for Zook/Obama and the cupboard was stocked for Meyer/Bush.

It's become a blame game.

nana...you are right and the airforce physician is wrong. His thoughs are not "reasonable" and yours are.

I am sure the physician wouldn't know this type info and is not qualified to make this statement and you are fully qualified as you work in this coulture daily.

The PC argument right now is just opinion.....no facts have yet to be presented in support of such a notion. Facts do exist supporting this man was a great danger, the authorities knew it and did nothing to prevent such tragedy.
