Question Sandspurs!!!

I am having a problem w\ sandspurs infesting my front & back yards. Is there a way of eliminating them without having to pull them out nor damaging my grass?

Thanks...

Apparently mowing the yard & everyone walking in the yard has spread these suckers out.

I had lots of sandspurs in my yard when I moved to this house.

It took a couple of years, but every time I found a sandspur, I would carefully pull it out by the root and spray a little Roundup where the root was. I would also check the immediate area for any spurs that may have fallen off. They are seeds.

I now have no sandpurs.

Diligence.

check the soil ph. if i recall, sandspurs thrive in acidic soils so maybe some lime will make the soil less hospitable to them.

Even if you can't see the burrs, the sandspur plant is easy to recognize.

Pull'em when you see them and lime your soil.
