What kind of plan would YOU make for the season? After I thought about it for a while, it seemed pretty obvious - run the Damn Ball and play D. Everything else will take care of itself.

And we have, and it has.

No WAY with a D like ours your plan going into the season would be to pitch around. No one's going to score on us, why even take chances? Why pattern yourself after an 08 OK team you just spanked? Why not look at the Ravens instead?

The goal this year is the NC repeat, plain and simple. Not stats, not even ecstatic fans. He wants to give Tebow, Spikes, and the other seniors the most special season he can give him, and WINNING is the way to do that.
rep your way fellow 'blue'. well stated

Hopefully...Myer being the a Master psychologist will realize this...or...perhaps some-one close might mention...it...this team is WOUND up way TOO tight...

ALSO...we are telegraphing some plays...it's VERY obvious...do we self-scout...need to FIX...heck...Even Drew Breeze was Telegraphing Charger play calls...which was EXPOSED on National TV...they did them a favor....but on own radio network SORTA commented on it...(McGriiff)...w/out saying so outright!!!

Again...hopefully somebody close might mention this....sometimes the MOST OBVIOUS thing gets missed..even by VERY SMART people!

First of all, I just can't call netting 8 or 9 yards on a PF against Arkie call a "break", but whatever. I get where you're coming from though.

We'd just come off the biggest, most emotional game of the season against arch-rival Georgia where there was a lot of pushing, shoving, fighting, and dirty shots by both teams... a lot of emotional energy expended.

When you look at our film from the Vandy game, Vandy posed no threat to us and their first drive was the only real sustained one they'd had all night. We allowed them 199 total yards, less than 100 rushing, only 12 first downs, and just 3 points.

On offense, we had over 375 total yards and over 140 rushing, and interestingly enough, all 4 of our RB's and 7 total different recievers caught passes. We did spread the ball around very well.

From my perspective, we're going to use offensive planning that best suits the opponent. It's been a given every game so far, playing safe and just doing what it takes to win with the least amount of risk.

Next week, I expect more of a showing like we had against UGA.

That said, if we score 27 points against pretty much anyone, with our defense, we're going to win.

as expected...PERSONAL insults w/no significant discussion...reminds me of THFSG...

at least I didn't hammered for an INCORRECT fact...it was Phillip Rivers, not Brees...telegraphing the plays...

Which THIS OFFENSE still does...what...no comments on that...

I don't care about style points....wins are IT...how-ever...one MUST think long-term...which MOST poster's here...SEEM to have a BIG problem WITH...

It's easy to beat teams you out-class...it's called "Tressal-ball"...but if it gets tight...or we fall behind a team of CLOSE TALENT level...

ok...go ahead...back to bashing me...

WHAT are you TALKING about?

YES, we have some OFFENSIVE issues AT times, but we also HAVE 9 w's AND counting. PLAY tough D and the OFFENSE will SCORE enough to win.

Our team came out last night like they were not very interested in the game. That was probably because they knew that they had the talent to beat a 2-7 team at home, even when they didn't bring their "A" game. Its a long season, 12 games before the SEC championship and the bowl game, wherever that might be. It is impossible for any team of human 18-22 years olds to be at the peak of their game for every contest. They and their coaches have to pick and choose the games to let it all hang out and the games where they know they are going to win going in.

When you consider the drama this team went through this week, it is really not surprising that they may not have been as focused as they were when they played . . . oh . . . say the Georgia Bulldogs in a traditional rivalry game last week, and are already looking forward to a South Carolina team that presents a real challenge, playing at home with a decent QB and a good defense.

I just get really tired of the whining fans who aren't satisfied unless our Gators beat evey team by 4 TDs and roll up 500 yards of total offense. I would submit that Urban and his staff have had their eyes on the prize since Spring Practice and they have executed their plan to perfection 9 games into this season. Why don't we show a little confidence in the folks who are wearing two rings and save the biatching until and if you really have something to biatch about. So far, you don't.
