Default CJ Spiller---stud game

from espn...

Clemson running back C.J. Spiller:It was only two weeks ago that Spiller torched the Miami defense for a school-record 310 all-purpose yards. Well, he outdid himself and broke his own record with 312 all-purpose yards in the Tigers' 40-24 win over Florida State on Saturday. He fessed up to striking a "mini" Heisman pose at the end of his five-yard touchdown run the fourth quarter, but after the way he's played in recent weeks, Spiller has earned his way back into contention for college football's most prestigious award. He rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown, plus added three catches for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Spiller beat Bowden 3 of his 4 years at Clemson. Pretty good considering all the turnmoil the Tiger program has had during his time there. He had an awesome game last night.

Great player. From what I've seen of Alabama (admittedly very little) I'd give him the Heisman over Ingram any day. Ingram is an excellent one-trick pony. Spiller does it all.

Spiller has a good chance to win the Heisman if Clemson wins the ACC Championship.

I can't believe he's not on the ESPN Heisman Watch List.

He had one heck of a gutsy game last night. Apparently, he has had a bum toe all year and then hurt his knee last night. You could tell he wasn't at full strength last night but he kept toughing out big gains and tough yards, after which he seemed pretty painful. It was kinda funny actually that an 80% Spiller was faster than most of FSU's players but Spiller had a great game. It's fun to watch him play, even though I rarely enjoy ACC games, just the ones where FSU and UM lose.

The boy can flat out play. Against Miami he was so tired he sat out the last series when they kicked a FG. That should give you an idea how tired he was.

Spiller is a stud, and would have been great at UF. However, if he had come to UF, we might not have gotten Demps, Rainey, etc. I'm very happy with our guys!

Urban really wanted this guy, and after his freshman year at Clemson, I thought Spiller might transfer to UF. Too bad. he missed out on conference titles and NCs. But he'll make millions in the NFl, so more power to him.

The kid showed last night how much of a gamer he is. You could tell he was hurting and gassed but he just kept going back out there. I would have him right at the top of any Heisman list.
