Default The media narrative

It really does surprise me that NOBODY is talking about how Bama looked very evenly matched with LSU (playing in Tuscaloosa, no less), and needed 1 big fluke play and a bad call to win the game.

Instead, it's "wow, this awesome team finds a way to win."

Honestly. I'm a pretty objective guy, and what I saw was a good, but not great, team who won b/c they were playing at home and got 1 big play.

The Gators will not let Ingram run wild. Do you see McElroy winning a game vs. a veteran, talented Florida defense on a neutral field? I sure as hell don't.

Unless the Gators turn the ball over (a la Arkansas), I really can't see them losing to a Bama team they beat by 11 last year WITHOUT Percy.

Well, our offense has struggled against defenses that aren't in the same league as Bama's.

I don't know about that. Here's the beginning of the ESPN.com story on the game:

Quote:
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- For three quarters and change, well before No. 3 Alabama would put away LSU 24-15, clinch the SEC West and remain at the front of the teams behind the BCS's velvet ropes, the Crimson Tide gave the same frustrating performance it had in its previous three games.

The offense still looked like its best play began when place-kicker Leigh Tiffin ran onto the field. Against Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee, field goals had been enough. Against LSU, no. The Tigers held a 15-13 lead, and the Crimson Tide had a lengthening list of offensive misfires.

Tension hung over Bryant-Denny Stadium, tension borne of frustration. Head coach Nick Saban couldn't take it anymore.

Bama is the kind of team that will give us all we can handle and more.

I firmly believe LSU would have won that game if they hadn't lost their two best offensive starters (Johnson and Scott, QB and RB) and their best defensive player (Peterson, CB on Julio Jones)

Oh and if they hadn't been mercilessly jobbed by the refs.

what did the refs? do not call the interception because there was clear the player established possession of the ball inbounds? I think if it had originally been called an interception, the call would not have been reversed. The replays just werent clear enough.
