Something I mentioned a few times is that JD had to do way too much in hs and once he learns to rely on other play makers more and not to take try to make something when it is not there, we will see a huge improvement in his play. This year we SHOULD see a great improvement in his play.

I hope you are right. I am pulling for the kid, but I am seriously tired of saying "this year we wil see his true potential". We have said that exact same comment since Tebow left. I'm over it. I want to see results.

I know, no need to remind me. Yet, last time I checked we don't play to have a good time on the field. We play to win championships....PERIOD. You put a lot of great stuff on here but you can't tell me that you are satisfied with qb play.

I was satisfied with the way Jeff and the whole team played last year. Would I like to see improvement? Sure and I have no doubt that we will this year. Jeff has came a long way since high school. The team exceeded expectations this year.

Last year's team was no where near a championship team. Most posters had us at best 7 wins. The staff took a sow's ear and made a silk purse.
No one here was satisfied with the QB play, but only the very selfish were not satisfided with 11 wins!

Some people take a step backward in their second year - sophomore slump. I think if he has any problems our coaches will manage.
If the only reason you play is to win championships then you will have an unhappy life.
I am not satisfied by QB play entirely. But I do have a grasp on reality. The kid has great effort and a desire to get better. That's all you can ask for. Perfection is a pursuit. The goal is rarely achieved.

He could improve significantly and we could have a worse record- our defense carried us, if it takes a step back JD needs to take a huge leap forward- maybe even become an above average QB for us to contend for the East.
I don't think some people grasp just how bad our passing game was last season- our total offense was in the 100s, our passing game was in in the bottom 5. JD was last in yardage and 10th in QB rating (which takes into account his lack of picks).... in the SEC.

when your offense does not have a single offensive lineman or wide receiver make either 1st or 2nd team, and I don't even think honorable mention or 3rd team All-Conference, tells you something. At times this offense WAY overachieved, just not over the course of an entire game. You guys put WAY to much blame on the QB and also give him way to much credit, unless you could take games over the way Manziel and Tebow have and did. If you think back, Tim would struggle often when different aspects of the offense did. I think so many of you have no idea how hard it is to play QB at a consistent high level we want or expect.

Give Jeff the players Manziel or Tebow had and Florida doesn't lose a game this year. Not saying he is better than either one of them.

Doesn't happen often but I agree with GatorAz and the above statement.

I can't see this team doing better that last year because of the players we lost on defense. Don't forget it was the defense that lead us to an 11-2 record last year
