Well that's not good but I love not seeing or hearing anything about UF in that story.

It's definitely against the rules to use it and if so they broke the rules.
But it seems a little ridiculous to me that they have banned snake oil.

I doubt he needs it. If any college coach speaks Parcel Tongue, it's Saban.

I say let em use whatever they want. It's their bodies and if they are willing to take some risks, its their decision and they live with the consequences.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president." Author Unknown

Heroic sentiment but one which would undoubtedly cost some young man's life in the long run.
What ever happened to the noblest option being about 'doing things the right way'?

Sports agencies ban things that it turned out have no real performance enhancing value all the time. This is just another one, every time something like this pops up they ban it.
What is amazing to me is that they ban things that they dont even test for. What on earth is the point of banning a substance that you cant enforce the ban on.

More PED apologist talking points. The athletes say it doesn't make them great yet they still line up to use it. The science is usually spot on.

You mean like this science which says it doesn't work?
Two studies on Antler velvet:

These findings do not support an erythropoetic or aerobic ergogenic effect of deer antler velvet

It appears that 10 wk of EVA supplementation does not significantly improve rowing performance nor alter hormonal responses at rest or after acute exercise than training alone.
|
In another study on IGF-1 itself it was determined that it could produce growth hormone like effects but it would require a dosage of 25 million nanograms per day, maybe more for a man of Lewis' size. And a bottle of the spray that he supposedly asked for only has about 3000 to 5000 nanograms.
So, yeah the science is spot on. This stuff is snake oil, but it is a man-made substance that claims to boost testosterone and increase growth hormone so of course sports agencies will want to ban it.

Wait, do you guys really believe that 'Bama is the only school in the SEC that has players who put crap like that into their bodies?

If someone asked to me to take the over/under at 100 out of 120 programs having PED users on their rosters I would take the over.

Well no and the article confirms that or at least mentions that.

I know i don't believe that, I'm not that gullible. Every school in the SEC except UF has players that do that.

Probably 80% or more use some kind of performance enhances... An energy drink is a performance enhanced, who cares let them all do it and it will be an equal playing field. Then it will be fun to watch them all destroy each other.
