Potential Poetic Justice regarding UGA's 2013 schedule
There is a lot of talk in the twitter-verse about ESPN wanting to move the 8.31.13 UGA-Clemson to labor day night. In order to do this, UGA would have to move its 9.7.13 game with South Carolina because there is no way they play the gamecocks on 5 day's rest. The final result could be UGA having to play USCe on 10.26.13, the weekend before they play us in Jacksonville. We had to play USCe and UGA back to back this year. It would be just if UGA had to do the same:

@MattSmithCFB Could move UGA-Missouri from 10/12 to 9/14 to fix that. Both are open on 9/14.

A way to get UGA on bye on 9/7 to play Clemson on 9/2: Move Toledo-Missouri to 9/28. Flip dates of Mizzou-SC (10/26) & UGA-SC (9/7).

@MattSmithCFB There are moves that the SEC can make involving Mizzou-SC, Toledo-Mizzou & UGA-SC to get UGA a bye on 9/7 if they want one.

@MattSmithCFB Let's rephrase that tweet: I'd be surprised if UGA was willing to play SC on short rest.

I can guarantee you they weasel out of that. Probably just replace South Carolina with Furman.

But with the $50M per year per team TV contract, ESPN dictates game time/dates.

id like to see georgia have 2 tough sec games in a row for like the first time in forever too, but no way south carolina should agree to moving the game either. theyre already playing at arkansas then at tennessee the two weeks prior to oct 26th when theyre at missouri. all those teams had losing records last year but 3 straight sec road games are no picnic.

Poetic would be the replacement of Auburn with Alabama.

I think his point is it takes away the extra week to prepare for us.

So very true, but any/every-time they lose it's good for us.

1992 at MSU. We got drilled on that Thursday. Matthews threw 5 picks that night if I recall. I did watch it at Hooters.

I do not know about Thursday or Monday but I know we get scheduled at the hottest times of the day in early September. Besides, Jeremy has made it a priority to never take a Thursday game due to travel by the fans from way out of the area and the economy of Gainesville. To add fuel to the fire, screw the pups, I hope pinecrest thoughts are true. It would serve them well!

The only way true justice could be done to UGa for the schedules they've had the last two years would be to play Alabama, USC, and us on consecutive Saturdays.

My point was, if they worry past Carolina, they will have a loss anyhow. They have been beating us mentaly. Maybe its on us to change.
