Supposedly his twitter was hacked. His Clemson decommit message is no longer there.
I still think, in the end, he will end up somewhere other than Clemson.

Would an Eli Daniel commitment mean we don't need, or perhaps stop recruiting, Demarcus?

I would think that if we took Eli, we wouldn't need Walker. BUT I think we would still talk to him all the way up to NSD. If he wanted to flip, we'd figure out the logistics, regardless of how many DL we take.
That said, I don't think Walker flips. Stranger things have happened, but I don't think that a single person that posts around here believes Walker is a sure-fire flip.
If we go to the SEC Champ game and if we beat Bama, that's about the only way I think we could try to sway him. Even then, he is still looking at early playing time and should make a quick impact with Bama.
I say No Chance.

I think the biggest hurdle is his grades. If he gets them up I think we will be in a great position to get him

I've liked him since he showed up on our board early last spring. I just hope we still have room when we get the thumbs up from our admissions department. He can't even take an official visit unless he has a qualifying GPA.

So that means his grades are somewhat in order (not set, but at least on track) or he wouldn't be allowed to visit right?

He would visit during the banquet in Dec, but that is the date of retaking the ACTs. If he does better there, I think he's in bc his grades are improved (almost) enough

I am still not sure how close he is. If I remember correctly the staff has let certain kids visit that they usually wouldn't.

How much of a concern is it that a person not doing well in HS can manage university level academics plus the rigors of football and campus life?
