2013 OL Laremy Tunsil of Miami FL
According to Zach's twitter...
"5-star OT Laremy Tunsil now has a top 2 of Georgia and Alabama.
He said Florida is in 3rd place but no longer a favorite for him."
What happened that makes him so in love with the other 2 schools?

I promise you guys that Florida is NOT out of the running. I'm his first cousin and I am sure that we are still in it as musch UGA and AL. He is hell bent on taking advantage of his visits and also is sorta dienchanted with UF right now b'cuz he's from the area and knows that they will leave a slot for him no matter what. So relax guys, relax.

Why would he be disenchanted with UF? What you're saying, if accurate, sounds like he's stuck on himself and at the same time is taking UF for granted.
But if you are his first cousin, show him the depth charts.

Appreciate the update, but he aint coming to UF. I can understand leaving a spot open for him late, but come close to the dead period near NSD, I would drop his spot if I could bring someone else in I could depend upon signing. That;s just me though...

lol How do you know what he is going to do when Laremy himself does not?
For a guy like Tunsil there is no "spot". If he comes you take him and you figure out the roster spot later.

He knows what he's doing. Don't be naive.

I didn't say I knew for sure what tunsil was going to do, I'm speculating, just like you and so many others are doing.
But on another note, I used to be deep into all of this recruiting stuff up until about 2003 - '04 and and had many, many recruiting contacts, and many here know that I was pretty accurate with a lot of own personal predictions. I wasn't right every time, but I had a pretty good average to say the least. That said, I got a pretty good feel for the recruits in what they're saying.
I like Muschamp and I know he has shown he can sway a guy at the last second, but I'm also realistic in the fact that I know how good a recruiter Nick Saban is too. I would take Muschamp over Richt any day IMO, but Saban is a tough customer to beat, and personally, I think Tunsil ends up at Bama whehn all is said and done.

Obviously it is some combination of: confusion; doesn't like UF that much; doesn't believe he can start here.
UGA- 2 OTs 2010, 3 OTs 2011, John Theus 2012. He'll be "the man" of their 2013 class.
Bama- 1 OT 2010, 1 2011, 3 2012, 1 JUCO 2013.
UF- 2 OT 2010, zero 2011, 1 2012(2 if you count Dunker), 1 2013(72nd ranked OcJack).
Maybe he feels he can't even beat Dunker out for a spot should coaches look to him for OT. UGA looks to be the toughest place to earn a spot of the three, and Bama's probably going to land a guy or two next year(2014) that will give Tunsil a run for his money as well. Bama landed three in their last class that all were ranked highly enough to be competitive. So I don't get it. But I will say I'm over the guy and hope he has a dismal career elsewhere.

This really isn't much of a surprise. And again, he doesn't make or break this class. All we really need is someone to start opposite of Humphries... If Tunsil doesn't want that, then we don't have room in the program for him anyhow.
We have 2 very solid scenario's that have Ira Denson flipping from FSU and/or Trent Brown flipping from UGA. We can also hope that Kenny Lacy decides to visit.
I would say maybe if Rod Johnson had grades by the end of the year we would take him, but I am sure that Johnson is pretty disenchanted with UF atm, as well.
The OL positions won't be shored up until NSD... Best thing to do is wait and see... We did that last year and it didn't work out the way we wanted it... but we still got Humphries and Dunker.
This time around we have a couple of inside OL in our pocket... all we really need is a solid OT who can play next year. Brown would be an immediate starter and has JUCO experience. He is the most logical. But getting Lacy on top of that would be nice for depth. If Denson did flip to us, then I'd say that our inside OL is solid and we wouldn't have to add another in this cycle.

Pat Summerall came from Lake City. Wait, he didn't go to UF either, did he?

Is there an agreement in place between Lake City and Tampa Plant?
