This thread is worthless without pics. This list won't be as long as most my age. We buy and hold our cars.
My first car, a '59 Pontiac Star Chief with only 24,000 actual miles in 1971.
Note the fins, the chrome stars on the real quarter panel, and the little chrome
jet on top of the front fenders. (not my actual car, but this is exactly what mine looked like, except in seafoam green)
65 Caprice
Married into a 67 Mustang
Guessing on the years for some of the following:
78 Monte Carlo (lemon)
76 Audi Fox (great car -- replacing the entire fuse box panel solved electrical)
85 Ford Fairmont Station Wagon
87 Honda Accord
89 Ford E150 conversion van
95 Ford E150 conversion van
93 Mercury Sable wagon
95 Suburban
98 Suburban
98 F150
96 Suburban
01 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
Three Suburbans because 2 were totaled...

Just picked up a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica today for my daughter. Totally loaded with extras...front and rear heated leather seats (a real plus here in Wyoming), navigation system, CD, cassette and DVD player, sunroof, etc. 97K miles and only needs a little front end work.

I have to update my list, my 99 XLT 4x4 just took a dump, and its parked, so I've had to get another truck.
Got a sweet little 02 S-10 SS, its my daily driver now, and man I didn't realize how much gas I was putting in that monster of a 4x4 until i stopped driving it.

I had to stop driving for medical reasons for over 20 years so mine is a short list.
1. 72 Pontiac Firebird (HS baby!)
2. Isuzu Imark (cannot remember the year) diesel
3. 87 Honda Accord
21 years...
4. 2002 Mazda Millenia.
Pretty lame list - except for the Firebird.

I see you hang on to your cars, too. I've come to believe that good preventive maintenance and repairs are cheaper than buying cars regularly. Currently owned:
95 Ford E150 conversion van - 190,000 (we'll be replacing this soon)
98 F150 - 150,000 and running strong
96 Suburban -205,000 - overall in great shape...replaced engine at 197K
-Drove from Casper, WY to Disneyland and back over Christmas...didn't use an ounce of oil or water
01 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo -just bought for 16-year-old son at 150K

Late 40's Dodge sedan. I was only 10 and it didn't run but my grandfather gave it to me so I'm counting it.
55 Chrysler Windsor. Was passed down by my other grandfather. It DID run. Had it up to 110 on dirt roads near my house. Still too young for a drivers licence. We all do stupid stuff when we are young.
65 VW bus. It would do 75 downhill with a tailwind.
71 Datsun pickup.
81 Datsun pickup Diesel.
95 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel.
04 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel.
06 Mercedes E320 CDI Diesel. Great car. 40 mpg highway.
12 Mercedes S350 Bluetec Diesel. Picking it up in Germany in 2 weeks so I'm counting it too. I don't go through a lot of cars but my wife, on the other hand, has had:
Oh, my, now I have to remember all this. At 16, I started with a '68 Mustang. Then,
'75 Buick Skyhawk
'76 Camaro
A series of '72 - '76 GM products -- Olds Cutlasses, Chevy somethings, Buick somethings. My ex didn't like to work on cars and his brother-in-law sold cars, so we just traded whenever they broke. Which they did on a very regular basis. So when I met my current husband a long time ago in a world far away, I graduated to the following:
'81 Datsun Maxima (diesel)
'88 Nissan Maxima (5 speed)
'96 Eclipse
'96 Nissan 300ZX
'00 Nissan Frontier
'01 Dodge Ram 2500 (Cummins diesel)
'03 Nissan 350Z
'04 Dodge Ram 4WD (Cummins diesel)
'05 Infiniti G35 (6MT)
'06 Infiniti M35 (POS)
'07 Mercedes CLK550 (loved this car)
'09 Mercedes SL550 (I'm done.)

70 Olds Cutlass
76 Pontiac Grand Lemans
84 Nissan Pulsar Hatchback (good utility but a real POS that I beat to death in three years)
87 Toyota Celica
93 Honda Del Sol
92 Ford Probe (came with my wife)
94 BMW 530 (I upgraded her)
02 Audi A4 (my favorite car... of course the wife drives it mostly)
04 Acura TL
Still own the last two. Both very good cars in excellent shape and we don't drive that many miles so expect to hang with them for awhile.

71 Camaro - My first car. Bought it with 100k miles on it, when I first got my Drvs Lic.
81 Datsun 200SX - Bought it new (with parents help) and had it in Gainesville.
85 Camaro V6 - Bought it new. What a piece of crap!! Thought I got a lemon so I traded it in for ...
87 Camaro Z28 - Another piece of crap! I swore off Chevys after this one.
88 Toyota pickup - Best vehicle I ever owned! I put 250k miles on it, Gave it to a friend to use as a daily driver. He's still driving it today.
95 Chevy Silverado - Thought I'd give chevy another chance LOL..This was actually a good truck. (still had the Toyota PU as a daily driver)
2000 Toyota Camry - good car.
2007 Ford Escape - good car.
2010 Toyota Highlander - Great car.

I really like the Mazda 3, considering getting one. How did you like it and how well did it hold up for you?
Anyone else have any experience with the Mazda 3?

Well mine was an 05, not the current model but i loved it.
There are times i wished i kept it
Of all the cars, the GTI has been the best experience of driving and comfort.
