However, I did/do find LA exhilarating and am going to keep the flame alive for eventually living there. Worst case, with my sister out there, it is bound to be a fairly frequent vacation destination. What's not to like about being one hour from surfing and one hour from skiing. And the place fairly reeks of nostalgia. Every time I turn on the TV now I sigh, realizing that the program was likely shot in LA.
Flipside: it wasn't the LA traffic that was so bad, it was the road conditions and signage, third-world-ish, unworthy of a city of global importance. Also, wages suck. I thought that they would be commensurate with the high cost-of-living. Turns out that they pay better in North Carolina.

Interesting, moving to Carolina myself next week, Raleigh to be exact, glad to see you will once again live in my neighbor city, though now twice as far to the west as Orlando was.
