Excuse the typos. I don't think I am completely ignorant. One other thing, the 2.3% excise tax on medical devices instituted by Obamacare have resulted in a number of medical device manufacturers cancelling US expansions and relocating overseas to avoid the tax. Among these are Abbott Labs, Stryker, Boston Scientific, Medtronics, Cook Medical, John & Johnson, GE Healthcare, Cardinal Health, CR Bard, Alcon, 3M Healthcare, Baxter Travanol, Hospira, and many many others.
If a company has $10,000,000,000 in sales and a 5% after tax margin their net profit is $500,000,000. After Obamacre and the implementation of the 2.3% excise tax their net after tax profit is $230,000,000. This tax is based on sales, not profits. No wonder these companies are moving overseas (Esp China) to escape the tax. The top two job loss states are Massachusetts and Florida.
