I am not sure if this will be of interest, but a couple of weeks ago the Atlanta Journal Constitution presented their High School All-State Teams voted on by the Georgia High School Coaches Association. There is only a First Team and Honorable Mention for each classification and listed below is how our commitments (and targets) fared:
[b]- Octavious Jackson (OL): First Team Class 6A (Georgia's highest)
- Jarren Davis (LB): First Team Class 6A
- Demarcus Robinson (WR): First Team Class 3A
* I am sure about first team, but not sure about classifaction
- Antonio Riles (DE): Did not make either team
[b]- Marqui Hawkins (WR): Did not make either team[b]
* This was weird because his High School team is pretty strong (Carver-Columbus). Same place our buddy
Jarvis Jones graduated from.
Targets:
[b]- Montravius Adams (DL): First Team Class A
On another note the AJC also comes up with their [b]Super 11[b] at the beginning of each year, which in their opinion are the best 11 players in the state. Both Demarcus Robinson and Montravius Adams made that team.
