It is accurate because I had a tape measure. I didn't have twigs for arms lol but I wasn't "big" either. I went from 30lb dumbbell reps(10) to 45lb dumbbell reps(10). I was taking multivitamins, fish oils, 250-300 grams of protein per day, creatine(two 30 day cycles which started on day 1 and day 60), test enhancer(one 30 day cycle started on day 60), and a sleep aid.
I would drink nothing but water(80-100+ ounces a day), I tried to only eat red meat twice a week, not much fruit just a whole lot of vegetables, fish which mostly consisted of fresh halibut and salmon(I went to Alaska the month before I started and brought back over 100lbs of fish that I caught), and chicken.
