Don't count out 5* star wide receiver Jaimie Ffrench just yet...

One of the best wide receivers in the 2025 cycle, five-star pass-catcher Jaime Ffrench out of Jacksonville (Florida) Mandarin finally got back onto campus on Tuesday for the first time since last June. Despite the fact that the 6-foot-1-inch, 185-pound prospect lives right down the road from Gainesville, he has been too occupied with his other suitors to keep a close connection with the Orange and Blue.

“I loved it man, big difference,” he told Swamp247 of the visit.

“Really like what Coach Napier and them put out. Really intense practice. I loved how they got after it, the integrity, and the fight. I got around Coach (Billy) Gonzales, Coach Napier, and Coach (Mike) Peterson. We chopped it up a bit. Coach Peterson has played in Duval, and he comes by the school and chops it up with us sometimes because it’s his area.”

If we can land guys like this and more then our two Billys (Gonzalez and Napier) my end up GOAT when it's all said and done. Well, they have a long way to go but this would be a start.

    D.J Lagway needs this...

Yes!! And at the very least lose an exciting, hard fought game vs. Losing with a disappointing, lackluster effort (UK)or to a team we had and should have beat (arky)

Someone always loses in a team vs team game but you don't always have to necessarily come out of it a loser, maybe disappointed? Sure but the level of play they display can have you still feel good about the team and their direction in a loss.

Our late season losses last year vs. Top 10 teams Mizzou and FSU imo were not near as bad as the UK and Arky loss where our effort wasn't there.

    this this this

for example, I DO NOT expect us to beat UGA again but no way in HE11 should we lose by plus 30 again to them. Hell a 3 td loss to anyone this season is UNACCEPTABLE

We are now solid on all levels of the offense and defense. Billy has added a ton of experience and talent to this roster and fixed all areas of concern. Our defense is going to be one of the best we have had in a while, and it will be lead by one of the best secondaries in the nation.

What I'm saying is get your popcorn ready, because there are now no guaranteed loses on this schedule. And if anyone is sleeping on the gators, they are going to get rolled.

And I can't believe I'm saying that. Billy's offseason grade is an A+

You make UGA sound like a mythical beast... I do expect us to beat them again, maybe not this year but soon.

foot - All indications are this is true. Billy has brought in talent, experience and depth.
The back end or D-Backs should be really good. One of the better squads in the league by my way of thinking.

Still a wee worried about the defensive line and linebacker.

D-Line simply because the SEC has a bunch of good defenses and how UF rates compared to other teams.
I certainly believe UF has upgraded and gotten better depth. Need Boone and some of those injured last year
to stay healthy. I am sad about Watkins. Lets face it, he can't be very effective with that weight - 450/460+
I imagine he will lose a good bit of PT. See him mainly in 3rd / 4th and short or goal line situations.

Linebackers - Because of the injury bug. Need Wingo and Graham healthy. Those two didn't have much of a spring.
Childs will be here for the fall. Need this group to be vastly improved too.
Obviously big time happy about Pup. 6-3 240. They say he is a beast.

Damn schedule, I hope Strickland is complaining.

Agree for the most part. Also, it’s Watson not Watkins.

I understand what you're saying about the Linebackers and defensive lineman, but we do have experience, talent and depth at both.

Howard and James will be the starters at linebacker and both are very good.

There is so much depth at the D line that Watson is now 3rd or 4th string.

The one thing that is not really being talked about is the huge upgrade in coaching talent that Billy has assembled on the defense. There are now 4 coaches on the defense with coordinator experience. If they are not getting pressure straight up, they can get it creatively, which both Ron Roberts and Austin are very good at, especially now that they have a secondary they can lean on. I'm not saying it's going to be a top 10 defense, but it going to be a hell of a lot better than what we have seen in the past few years.

Good take Gatorhead. But have to admit I’m more confident in the D line than I am the secondary. They at least flashed last year and had some moments. While the secondary was pretty awful. I can see the talent in both (though young) but just feel the D-line is further along.

We may have to take a look at that out of conference schedule if that’s the way they are going to treat us

Apparently, next year's schedule is the same with teams to play, but only reversed with home and away. Is that true?

This is all true to keep recruiting going. Just as important to keep the fans going is to own the Swamp. Win the home games. Watching your team lose in person hurts much more than on the TV where you can switch the channel if you can't bear it.

I went to almost every home game from 91 to 99. Haven't been to many after that as I moved west for a few years before returning back to Florida. Went from never seeing us lose at home to rarely seeing a win. Few games over many years but they include the DJ muff punt Bama loss, spurriers last game/911 rescheduled vols game, the awful fau game we barely won and Mullen's first Kentucky game. I can't imagine how much it has sucked to attend so many home losses over the last decade plus.

There have been some good wins at home, but, we don't "own" the place like we used to do. Looking forward to seeing that return.
