(SB) GAME THREAD: Florida vs. FGCU - Friday, May 17 at 1:00 PM on SECN

Weather looks very bad for G'ville on Satuday. Rain starting early morning and raining all day and night. Looks bad on Sunday until mid to late afternoon when it clears up.

Friday, it's nice.

 

The thought of a South Alabama team coming to Gainesville for a regional makes me cringe. Oh wait that's a baseball thing. I believe this Gator softball team has the makings for a long run more so than that 2021 Gator baseball team.

 

Just for fun, if the weather is really bad, here are the rules for who advances if the regional can’t be completed by Monday. I think these are still in place?

Hoping we get a window to play our games at least.... assuming we win out. We don't need our girls playing later in the night or Monday with a super looming.

 

According to WeatherBug, Saturday should be fine. Sunday is the problem for sure.

We could just cancel everything like UCLA and be rewarded a natty just cuz.

 

I’m optimistic our games will happen. I just feel bad for the grounds crew potentially having to roll out the tarp every few minutes lol.

 

It can always be worse, like living in Louisiana, where it’s worse than Florida according to me.

 

It is raining at this moment at KSP. My prediction is that we get the game in, with a delayed start.
