Yep…what a disaster. We were sooo good. We have a dang good all around team this season. I hope we destroy Carolina and leave the field with the finger in the air for the selection committee
My bad, I thought that was an E8 game. I watched that game as it happened. My daughter (and I) were big into lacrosse and via her travel coach, got to meet the team. Ashley Bruns and others signed a bunch of stuff. We were so, so far ahead at half time and that a-hole Gary Gait makes a comeback. You're right, we had the game winner taken off the board due to a stick check. I don't think I've seen that successfully used before or since. That was such a fun team. Kitty Cullen with the killer quote in a NYT article: "we're young, we're fast, and we have killer tans."
UF held them scoreless for almost 23 minutes before allowing that 7th goal....it was 8-6 with 5:20 in the second Q
Impressive win for the Gators. Lost to this same team the 2nd game of the season 19-10. Totally dominated them today. This team has gotten better and better as the season has gone along. 18th straight win is incredible. Let's see how deep they can go.
UVA lost to Syracuse in ACC semis....19-4. In ACC quarters, beat UNC...13-12. Otherwise, they have a mix of good wins and a few head-scratcher losses. Cautiously optimistic.
Gators off to a good start against Virginia. Up 5-2 after 1st quarter. However, we just got a yellow card with 23 seconds left in the quarter. Maryland beating up on James Madison. The winner of that game gets the winner of our match in the Elite 8.
