    Not technically... but making them employees is not the answer either. I guess we'll have to deal with NILs that don't care about our school winning bowl games. :rolleyes:

    The general frustration last year, was with the game day product on the field. In fact that frustration was compounded by the fact that last years product mirrored in a lot of ways, the game day product of the prior year as well. As I recall the over-all team composite rating was top 12-15 nationally. This was a team that could have just as easily won up to 8 games, but didn't. With another year of maturity and if coached to its potential, this is a team capable of winning 8-9 contest next season......Vegas is simply confirming that as fact!

    That seems low. I know a lot of the better players are doing it for money but there are still a ton in the portal that I wouldn’t think are major NIL guys that just want playing time/werent good enough

    Well, they still have 6 of their top 7 recruits with 4 being 5 stars, so it's not like they're hurting too bad.

    Oh there’s plenty of talent left, but that’s still a lot of people jumping ship. They got more talent than we got, but maybe we have a tighter team. Optimistic I know - bring on the rainbows - but they aren’t infallible and we’re not chopped liver. Come October who knows — if we can stay healthy

    CBN comes from the low turnover Clemson philosophy that worked and the high turnover philosophy of Saban that worked, so I think he can steer us past the shortcomings of each to a course of a happy medium.

    Agree, I would be shocked if 75% came away with better deals. I actually wouldnt be surprised if it was less than 50%

    Probably more accurate that 60% of them didn’t have NIL deals to begin with, So 40% go in with NIL deals, 25% of that getting less and 15% getting more. I have zero data to back up numbers but it’s probably something closer to that.

    That could be and maybe excluding the ones that don’t find another school at all as well. I think the point he was trying to make was actually a good one

    The more time passes, the more I appreciate the Zooker. It’s not revisionist history, just perspective. After Spurrier he may have loved the opportunity more than any coach we’ve had other than Muschamp. Following a legend cannot be easy.

    I would take him on staff handling special teams any day of the week. Love the guy as an asst coach

    He never had a four win season and/or quit on us. Worked his butt off until the very end.
