Opening round in Tally vs UCF....beat them 6-1 in Gainesville early season UF takes a very competitive doubles point. UCF will be a battle I imagine.
Usual singles lineup other than Nate slides up to 3 and Ganessan down to 4 Both teams in all white unis, cameras bad, and hideous garnet court with gold outside. This is not a viewing pleasure.
Watching Nate match, he is totally lethargic....zero footwork and bad energy. Down 2 breaks already Other courts look ok, up a break on 1 and 4 Nate finally looks better with a held serve. His opponent is serving well but I don't see much else. But Nate isn't getting back any returns at all
Kim cruising 5-1 Jin down 2-3 Nate gets some second serves for a break, down 3-4 Gannessan nice at 4-0 Nirundorn scuffling down 1-4 Endengren down 2-3 Have to turn one of the 4 they are losing
Kim takes first 6-2 Jin down 4-5 Nate loses 3-6 Ganesan was up 4-0 but loses 4 straight....4-4 Nirundorn loses 2-6 Edengren down 3-5 For the most part UF simply isn't playing well as I hop around to these matches. Lethargic to some extent, just not sharp. They can turn it around, probably should from what I see
Jin loses his first set 4-6, Ganesan loses another game badly (he looks lost at moment) to trail 4-5 Edengren goes down 3-6 so UF loses 5 first sets. Pretty awful performance other than Kim
Ganesan may be hurt, but this is painful to watch....he's gonna lose 12 staright games barring a miracle Kim dominant to put UF up 2-0. That's the highlight I'm afraid Nirundorn, Jin and Nate fighting in their second sets ....that's the only hope Edengren is battling but he is already down 1-3
Ganesan playing about half speed loses 2 straight......even if UF survives today thats a problem for next round Nirundorn forces a third, his opponent is probably a better player but Nirundorn is playing his weird pesky style and stealing points Edengrn starting to get dominated.....down 1-5 so it's over soon About to be 2-2
Jin loses 5-7....ucf up 3-2 Nate takes his second set 7-5 Nirundorn down 2-3 in third, he's scraping but getting manhandled on a lot of points
Nate taking control, up 2-0 quickly Nirundorn holds for 3-3 and then had a great chance to break but every point he lost in a duece game was a service return error.
Nirundorn blows another break chance with return errors.....it's his weird game but so frustrating. Takes every serve from no mans land and gets hancuffed over and over
Nirundorn holds for 5-5....then the same damn thing again, break chance and return of serve kills him Nate up 4-2 and serving
Nate closes his match out...good for him Nirundorn holds to force a tiebreak, but he gets beaten badly....same story thru the match, he forces the action but way too many errors Rough season ends with a thud. I said this team could make noise and beat anybody or lose to anybody in the first round....and they did exactly that. Youth and injuries didn't help, but this was disappointing
For those following on UF Tennis twitter.....their last update was Kim winning over an hour ago. Good grief FSU coverage is a bad if not worse than UF. Stats don't show game scores, bad cameras, scoreboards were off and on
