Game will start on SEC Network + before being moved to SEC Network.

Such a huge disparity in pitching between these two teams. Arkansas has 11 pitchers on their roster who have thrown double digit innings and have an ERA below 3.50. We have zero! Ark team ERA is 2.91. UF is at 6.36! :emoji_astonished:

What, we are supposed to be worried just because we are throwing a guy allowing 18 runs per game against a guy with a 1.5 ERA?

Arkansas at Arkansas was the only start Alan had for the Gators that we missed seeing. The same Friday night was Kayla’s Sr Prom and it was ours to be at. I did have Ralph O’Day there cellphone in hand giving me play by play as I was wearing an ear bud. Naturally it may have been Alan’s best start as he went 8 1/3, gave up 4 hits (singles), 2 walks, and punched out 12. He left tied up at 2 apiece. We lost in the 10th 3-2.

Here’s to hoping for better baseball luck tonight—Go Gators!

Interesting choice to start Coppola against their ace- Smith is one of the top pitchers in the country. I wonder if Sully is thinking in essence "conceding" tonight and will throw his best guys on Saturday and Sunday in the hope of winning 1 of 2 or with luck 2 of 2.
I hope that's not the case as you want to compete hard and give it your best shot to win every game.

I honestly just want Cags to get two HR's in the series to keep the hope of breaking the record alive. Am I wrong for that?

I watched and read way too many baseball games in my years as a "yut". Great pitchers with great ERAs lose games to skunk pitches all the time. If it was Game 7 of World Series it would have greater impact, but a college game between an average team vs a very good team...far less.

good prediction. AU has gone to the future players.. partly due to injuries to 3 starters(incl Ike) 5 Fr & 2 So in lineup last 4-5 games.

It seems like AU has had this same problem the last 2 or 3 years. Well at least it will be over soon.

Have no idea how the Razorbacks field drains or holds water. Looks like high percentage chances for wet weather tonight and Sunday.

    We shall see.

I think we've seen enough this season to realize that this is Sully's only choice if we want to make the post season. Stealing one game this weekend from possibly the best team in college baseball would be considered a success by many.

Rain’s showing at 91% tonight, 15% for Saturday, and 90% for Sunday.
    That’s from TWC.
