I plan on casting, at minimum, 15 deciding votes.

Thank goodness it isn’t in full swing yet. I’ve seen very few if any campaign signs. Or giant billboards with literally “F*CK JOE BIDEN”. Or discussions and politicians promoting pictures of guns and how maga need to lock and load in preparation for Election Day.

Then I'm sure you won't be voting, right?

Biden is building a behemoth of a campaign. Trump at this point seems to be playing catch-up.

PHILADELPHIA — President Joe Biden has been scooping up record-making donations and plowing the money into an expanding campaign operation in battleground states that appears to surpass what Donald Trump has built thus far.

Flush with $71 million cash at the end of February — more than twice that of Trump's campaign — Biden parlayed his fundraising advantage into a hiring spree that now boasts 300 paid staffers across nine states and 100 offices in parts of the country that will decide the 2024 election, according to details provided by the campaign.

Agree. Biden got screwed with the no-win political optics of the Gaza invasion. An occurrence that Trumppublicans played masterfully by labeling any attempt to tamp down the invasion as.....anti-semitism. That cost Biden the election right there, IMO.

The Gaza issue is difficult but I doubt it’s in anybody’s top five. The Trumpers play nothing masterfully except for perhaps their idiot supporters.

I wouldn't be so sure. Although Trump is ahead in most of the polls in Michigan virtually every one during the last month has been within the margin of error meaning a statistical tie. As with other states the Democrats have outperformed the polls in recent elections. In the 2022 gubernatorial election Gretchen Whitmer was ahead by a margin of well under five percent in most of the polls. She beat the MAGA Republican nominee Tudor Dixon by a 10 percent plus margin and for the first time in decades the Democrats ended up with majorities in both houses of the state legislature.

    Recapping 2022 Midterm Election Results
elow is a snapshot of some of the key election results:
    • Top of the ticket Democrats won safely. Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Attorney General Dana Nessel all swept the top of the ticket by 8+ points.
    • Supreme court incumbents will return as well, with Justices Richard Bernstein and Brian Zahra winning reelection. Democratic-nominated justices will maintain a 4-3 advantage on the court.
    • Democrats flip a congressional seat to win a 7-6 edge on Michigan’s congressional delegation. Hilary Scholten (D-Grand Rapids) was able to defeat opponent Republican John Gibbs (R-Grand Rapids), while Elissa Slotkin (D-Lansing) was able to hold off a challenge from Tom Barrett (R-Potterville).
    • Democrats win majority in the Michigan House of Representatives for the first time since 2010. The new majority will be led by Michigan’s first Black speaker, Rep. Joe Tate of Detroit.
    • Democrats win majority in the Michigan Senate for the first time since 1984. The new majority will be led by Michigan’s first female Senate Majority Leader, Sen. Winnie Brinks of Grand Rapids.
    • All three of the ballot proposals succeeded handily. Michigan’s constitution will be amended to include term limit adjustments, expanded voting rights and reproductive freedom.

Biden's problem with the Gaza issue is that younger voters and/or voters of Arabic decent for whom the issue is important may stay home or vote third party. The Biden campaign should emphasize that the election is binary and that Trump has said that Netanyahu/Israel should "finish the war" with respect to Gaza and that a far right member of the Israeli cabinet has endorsed Trump.
Trump’s Call for Israel to ‘Finish Up’ War Alarms Some on the Right
Trump says Israel needs to ‘finish what they started’ and said war with Hamas is ‘taking a long time’
Attacking Biden Ben-Gvir says Trump would have been more supportive of Israel

If you promise not to tell anyone else, I'll let you in on the secret. We won in 2020 because more people voted for Biden than Trump....a hell of a lot more. If you want to reverse that trend, convince someone at the GOP to get on the correct side of an important issue.

Reminds me of the 2021 Georgia Senate runoff election. Although Trump campaigned for the Republican candidates David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in almost every speech he claimed that the election was stolen from him. Contrary to form in past Georgia runoff elections, turnout was higher in Democratic counties than in Republican counties. Apparently the stable genius managed to suppress turnout for the candidates that he had endorsed.

I think the pollsters are missing or otherwise not taking into account the fervor of the abortion rights voters. I think there will be a few surprises...think Gator, not UGA, colors.

I wish I could agree with you on this. Have you seen the Muslim politicians in some of these swing states, particularly Michigan, who have formed anti-Biden organizations based on this issue? I hope to be wrong, but my prediction is that in these states that have had a margin of just a few 10s of thousands of votes.....this will be the nail that sinks Biden in enough of them. (improper metaphor alert)

It’s in a large percentage of Michigan voters top 5. The Islamic population hates Biden because of the Israeli conflict with Gaza, which is ironic given how much more pro-Israel Trump is over Biden.

This. We're in Bizarro world. It started with Trump's masterful success of convincing people that their uninformed opinions were valid, absent facts.

I'm resigned to a Trump victory. The sole miniscule solace, IMO, is that as we watch the degradation of the world and our country it will at least be.......interesting.

Yes, but I expect it to be enough to swing Michigan, for one example.

Obv, I could be wrong. Hope so.
