What Would It Mean if Florida Was Undefeated Going into Jacksonville?

All games matter! I listed the first seven and undefeated for comment stimulation.
If the OL is not blocking well that could be on the coaching staff or it may be on inexperience. In 2024, inexperience should not be the problem with the starting five. We will find out if moving to guard worked for George. Obviously, based on the chart projection below, the backups are quite young. That could, and probably will, matter against stout defensive lines, such as: Miami, Texas A&M, etc.

Yes, BN plays conservative, and I have commented about the need to gamble--take more "calculated risks" (which he claims he has asked Mertz to do); I have also advocated for a OC (although who am I to advise anyone?).
In the last two years, I have stated that the problem has been poor execution by the players (which should be obvious). Year one of BN, AR was in his first year and lacked consistency. In year two, it was the inexperienced OL. And, in the first two years the defense was abysmal. Clearly, year three should show vast improvement--IF--players stay healthy.

 

The first seven games aren't hard? Miami should be a tough game, and more than likely be ranked and we will not. They're very talented, but so are the Gators. The question is, will the Gators beat their opponents or will they beat themselves?

 

We should defend the Swamp, but Urban Meyer predicts Ole Miss will be a playoff team. To beat Ole Miss, we will need limited injuries and the team firing on all cylinders. I will admit, the back five games look ominous!
